Never considered the 458 to be a hot hatch but it let me in to race/devour the little hatches!

Just forget the "hot" part and focus on the "hatch", Any car with a rear hatch is a "hatchback" and will qualify.

I'm not saying its right but that's how the game seems to define them.

I used a BMW 1 Series Tii Concept. Even I was bamboozled at first, but hey if it's legal then I ain't complaining.

I believe in the race description everyone apparently did not read, it says that although it's a Hot Hatch series, any car can be entered. I don't recall the field, but I presume most or all were hatchbacks.

Yes you are right, after the race I checked that.

Well I used the Caterham Seven Fireblade and I'm pretty sure that thing doesn't even have a trunk of any variety (the KTM X-BOW R also meets the entry requirements). The "Hot Hatch" part of the description is just flavor text. All you need is a european made vehicle below 500PP that isn't a race car.

I knew the title of the race meant nothing... not just after I entered with my Elise, but after I passed an AI controlled BMW 1 series concept in the same race :odd::lol:

Exact same thing in GT5. Why they don't restrict it is beyond me. Another very peculiar but par for the course choice by PD.
