Nations Cup (Sport) event kicked me

I just tried to do the Nations Cup event online 16:00 GMT entry. The game kicked me just before qualifying, I got an 'unexpected error' message and I was returned to the main menu. Slightly annoying.. did this happen to anyone else?
 
Yep, I'm in the Americas region and I have been kicked from two different races, first time just as qualifying was about to start and the second time at the end of qualifying when the screen froze on the results screen (had to close Gran Turismo and restart as I couldn't back out of the race screen page to the main menu).

I've run about 100 regular sport races and never had any issues with those, so not sure what the problem is with the Nations Cup.

I never got out the garage for qualifying
 
Just did the 4Pm nations cup race and WOW, the ramming is horrific. I got taken out twice, and I'm A/S. Definitely wasnt up to S standard. This needs to be fixed!!

I was kicked last lap 1 st position
