Nedd help with cleaning out my pc,plz help

anyone out there know how i can do this????

my uncle did this but hes gone right now and i thought id do it....


okay i want to get rid of EVERYTHING that takes up disk space,and i want to reinstall win 98 SE,cause in the add/remove programs theres a whole bunca things i cant get rid of......

plz help,itll be greatly apreciated :)
 
What you need to do, is called a Format, thats F-O-R-M-A-T.
You can use your 98 Disk to do it, Put it in the CD Drive, and restart. A black screen should say Press any key to boot from CD.
Hit something on the keyboard when it sez that. After a while the setup will say "Pick a partion to install Windows On" and where it sez that, there should be an option to delete a partion, delete it, and after you delete there should be an option to format the drive, pick that, and your all set, let that go and install Winblows, excuse me, Windows again. Enjoy!
 
No, but this is the next best thing, it deletes everything on the HD... Thats what you want, aint it?
 
Well if you got the stuff you wanna keep on cd's or floppy's or somethin, then you shouldnt really worry. Its up to you whether you should or not. Its your puter.
 
its not really that hard to format a comp.. if he did what i said he'll be fine

Yeah to you it isnt hard but to someone like Dess who is new to that kinda of stuff it is. :rolleyes:
 
You need to change your boot order then, witch may be hard for you because you dont know much about comps...
Do you know what BIOS are and how to get to them?
