Since buying a modified official Sony battery is illegal and you can't buy one form eBay anylonger I offer you an official legal way to have the battery. I offer this link to those who need to get your PSP into "Service Mode" for whatever reason.

Disclaimer: While this tool may be legal the "Magic Memory Stick" (which is not provided) you need to create to put custom firmware on your PSP is illegal. GTP and myself are not held responsible whatever illegal action you take by putting custom firmware on your PSP. The battery I link to is legal--the "Magic" memory stick which is not provided you have to make is not legal.

P.S. I just bought one so when I get it I will tell yous peoples how well it works. :D

Well it's pretty easy to do yourself anyway. I just used a mate's fat PSP to do it and it was quite the simple process. :)

Maybe, but locating that battery is proving to be expensive and hard to do. And I don't feel like modifying a battery for the slim chance I ruin it. I should be getting this in the mail here soon and I'll let everyone know how it works out.

The verdict: IT WORKED! Yeehaw.

I love this stuff. Now I can image all my PSX games to emulate as well as my old 16-bt game carts. :D Score.

I have a pandora battery and a memory stick that came with it, but I was under the impression that I needed a second PSP to do the switch. Is this so?

No, I performed this with just my one slim PSP with a regular 1GB memory card and the battery I bought from codejunkies.

*edit*
SNES = emulated :D
