My fan has decided to go belly up, and so I need a new one. Had a friend come round to look at it and he said I should buy the following fan with heatsink and he will fit it for me.

Heres the link to the fan. http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/107113

I was just wondering, because the fan is so cheap is it any good? I would like to have the quietest fan available as long as the price stays reasonable, so how does this fan square up to others?

Except that he doesn't have an AMD processor.

Well there is one review on ebuyer that says it's an OK cooler.

I didn't actually bother to click on his link. But I figured the article might help anyway.

Apparently the Thermalright XP-120 is the heatsink. The XP-120 lets you put whatever 120mm fan you want on it as well. A lot of heatsinks come with fans that are as loud as vacuum cleaners, so it's nice to have the option of a quiet Nexus fan or something.

Yeah that fan on that set looks really chincy Poverty. If you want good cooling, think around $10 USD. A $5 fan won't last long.
