Hi folks, easy question/s:

Where can I get a Super GT car from? Are there any available new or do I have to wait for one to appear in the used car dealership?

Is there one Super GT car, or a few, that are better than the others? Or are they all basically the same like NASCARs?

Cheers lads!

PS: After FINALLY getting GT5 online, I gotta say, it's a completely different game now. Offline-only GT5 v1.00 = 7/10 whereas Online GT5 v1.10 = 9/10. Very happy with GT5 now...

They are all similar in performance, but not as much as NASCAR, which are identical. Think more along the lines of touring cars, which is what they are.
I'm sure some are available new from dealers, but I can't name them.

I can never remember what's a Super GT car and what's a JGTC car, or maybe they are the same. What you can do is go to the Super GT event and see the cars the AI are using. Then look in the dealership for what you want.

They're essentially the same. The name changed in 2005 after the series began having international races.

All JGTC cars in the game except one are standard, and all SuperGTs are premium. All the Honda NSX, Lexus SC430, and Nissan GT-R/Z race cars and the YellowHat Supra are SuperGT cars. The SuperGT cars cost 900,000 - 950,000 Cr new. Used prices vary.

Also, the Cusco Impreza, Lexus IS350, ASL Garaiya, and the RE Amemiya RX-7 are from the lower class. These cost 500,000 Cr new but older GT300 cars are much cheaper.

Super GT, that's Japanese right? You can do that with the formula GT, 5mil. UCD . Overkill really but you'll need it for the formula GT championship. Toyota 88c, Toyota 7, Toyota GT1 race car. Mazda 787B from the NCD is fun too, I forget the price. Nissan GT-R concept LM is what I use for B Spec.

And faster.

I recommend the Xanavi Nismo Z from the Nissan dealer as the best all around Super GT.

Top car that one loads of torque, I would also reccomend the Honda Epsom its awsome but does need a tune wich you will find in the tuning section.

After Market Tuning
BHP 711
Weight 1100KG
Torque 70kgfm/7300 rpm
Aero 40/65

I notice threads like this and wonder if many people actually explore their game. To ask where the SuperGT cars are clearly shows a lack of looking. No disrespect intended, I just wonder why people ask on this forum rather than looking for themselves.

JGTC and Super GT are the same. JGTC however is the older cars... the name has changed since there are too many races that happen outside Japan to be considered "Japanese" touring cars. All of the cars except the Castrol Tom's Supra in the New Dealership would be considered "Super GT". All of the standard ones are "Japanese Grand Touring Cars" or JGTC

Thanks for the info. I have been planning to start either a Super GT or JGTC series after my current racing league is over in a few weeks. I have been trying to figure out which cars belong to either class. Looking at the descriptions for each car gets tedious lol. So based off of this info I will do a Super GT series since I don't have all the standards and I'm sure a lot of people in the series won't either. Using premium cars makes it easier since then I can know for sure which cars belong in the series and they are readily available for everyone. Time to start buying up the premiums I don't have. Thanks again.

go to Nissan,Toyota, Honda dealer
look for the cars that cost 950,000 cr, they are all super GT premium cars

I would recommand you the Motul Autech GTR. It has a bit more power when max tuned then the other GTR´s of the NCD ;)
For me the GTR´s are a bit faster then the NSX´s.
The SC430´s are very easy to drive and are very limit friendly if you push.
But they are all worth buying and it´s quit easy to do due to the payouts of the Seasonals.

But you can't use it in a Super GT race can you now......

At tris_73 Before you go saying things like that i suggest you go try enter the super gt in a furai because YES you can do the super gt series in A-spec but not the seasonal.

For some (extremely) silly reason the A-Spec series only has two restrictions, Racing Hard tyres & japanese manufacturer....

X2010 FTW!!!

Big difference between the A-spec races and the seasonals.

The seasonals require you to actually use a Super GT car. Not that there's any challenge since you can max it out with stage 3 turbo and soft tires. And then you can turn on SRF if that isn't enough...

But run on hard tires and turn the horsepower down to 400 and NOW you have a race catching that Nismo Z. :D

Part of the thread was also about recommending the best Super GT car, though. Plus I'm lazy. :dopey:
I ended up buying the Xanavi Nizmo Z because it had the highest stock PP - great fun!

Didn't realise that you could use any Japanese car in the A-Spec race, but I'll probably use the 'proper' GT cars for that anyway. The Furai is awesome though, I just got it and it's quickly become one of my favourites.

Takata Dome NSX '03 is my favorite of the ones I've driven ... mostly just the NSX's so far although I have all the Super GT cars. Just need time to drive them all.
