hey ive just got a g25 for gt5p
and ive bought a new computer (upgrade from a pentium2)

so im basically comming outta tha bush and i wanna play race games on the PC

i know that theres some off these threads already but ive only bin able too find old ones

im looking for something similar too gt5/forza2
-im not a perticularly big fan of open wheeled racing

GTR Evo is awesome, yes, but another excellent option (depending on the age of the PC in question) is finding one of the GTR2 special packages which includes GT Legends. Grand total is $9.99 for a great intro to PC simming with some console progression gameplay elements (unlocks, driving schools, etc.). Highly recommended, and they still look/drive great!

I echo Alex, GTR Evo, bought it today, fantastic game.

For a newcomer to PC sim racing, GTR evolution and Live For Speed are the only logical choices.

If you really love rally and WRC, Richard Burns Rally is still the best standalone sim but it is a 2004 game

If you want a more serious racing experience with real tracks and cars, check out iRacing. I think I'm going to have my first race at Daytona superspeedway today in the Craftsman Truck. :nervous:

gtr-evo, gtr-evo, gtr-evo.... 👍👍👍

allthough it's not really similar to forza or gt5 because the're hardly any street cars, only 4 (audi r8 gumpert dodge viper koenigsegg), its all about driving real race cars.

I still prefer GTR2 to GTR evo, the lower classes have more of a sense of speed and it feels more realistic.

Another vote for Live for Speed. There's really no such thing as a "Gran-Turismo-style" PC racing game -- unless there's a PC port of some wannabe GT clone that I don't know about -- but if you like driving roadcars as opposed to racecars, nothing can compare to LFS.
