These connectors are used for connecting the buttonboxes to the universal hub.

For a future project i will need a couple of these connectors. I can't seem to find them online though.

Does anybody have a ebay link of store that ships to the netherands

Those definitely aren't JSTs. Shouldn't be hard to look up on the Molex site if they are Molexs. First thing you need to do is measure the connector pitch - the center distance pin to pin. Nobody will be able to give you an accurate answer without that. This needs to be measured pretty closely because there are several that are pretty close.

Thanks Erik,👍

I will try to measure the center distance tommorrow with a digital micro meter and post back here.

What about these, Erik?
I reckon that it's a 1.5mm pitch. And the 3D design matches that in Henk's pictures above.

It could be 1.5 or it could be 1.45, 1.4, etc. Sometimes they have oddballs like this, so I prefer to measure the pitch first. That connector looks like it's from the same series though.

With my digital micro meter i measured the connector: Width 6.54 mm, thickness 2.71 mm, Pitch 1.5 mm (measured it a couple times)

Hope this is enough to determine the right connector.

I say it's the one I linked last time. I am 99.999999% sure about it. I just need Erik to confirm my suspicions.

Looking at the figures that is: http://www.molex.com/pdm_docs/sd/874390400_sd.pdf

ps. I think your sliding caliper is bending a bit while measuring the width, cause of the gradient on the connector (see measurements B and C in the doc above). I think it should read 6.70 ish at the wide area, but when it gets a bit narrow around the pin are it should be 6.30.

It looks like Logi is correct as near as I can tell. Your photos are slightly too low of resolution for me to see them clearly when blown up though. BTW not sure if you are aware but when using digital calipers you should be squeezing only just enough to contact the part very very lightly. You can easily influence the measurement by squeezing too hard. The part should fall out if you open the caliper even the tiniest bit.

Any plier/tool recommendations with those? To fold the connectors around the cable that is.

The cheapest ones I know of that are still decent quality are a brand called "Engineer" from Japan. Any name-brand like Molex or similar will cost you more than a new Fanatec wheel and hub. Some are over $1,000 USD. Don't ask me why. BTW, crimper is the term you're looking for. The very small wires are extremely difficult to crimp without damaging the wire - as in weakening it to the point where a few bending motions or a gentle pull will break it off - so buy extra crimp pins and get some practice in before you try it on any finished products.

Thanks guys, but that's only the connector, but i need one with cables attached to it, or at least cables that can plug-in the connector.

Can you guys help me out here?

I though this would be very easy find, but i can't find what i need anywhere

Often things like this are used for hobby stuff and come pre-made from China. However, they are generally called something other than the model number. Most JST stuff for RC isn't called what it really is. They just call it something like JST Micro etc...

With some searching I bet you can find some on ebay all wired up already.

Thanks MrBasher, :)

That's kind of connector what i'm looking for, but the JST connecter seems to be a bit different.

The side of the JST connector has two guides in the middle of the connector. The connector on the CSW hub does not seem to have these.

My crappy camera makes it very hard to get sharp close ups, but the connecter i need has these guides on one side of the connector

Unfortunately, the JST won't work without cutting off more than just the tabs on the sides. I looked up the dimensions already ;)

Yeah, if you want them with leads you should be able to find them easily on eBay from China.

hello

Have you been successful finding the right or at least workable connectors yet?
As I'm in teh hunt too - obviously having gotten a couple of hubs I need to make my own button plates etc for all wheels instead of provided pods, which i intensely dislike - have a zillion of spare buttons to use and plenty of CF plates etc to use as button plates.

been also searching all day for these and stupidly bought the very common 1.25 pitch ones that I thought could fit, but my own earlier suspicions that it is a 1.5 pitch are beginning to materialise. As mentioned, there's no great deal of wired connectors, just a few of mentioned 1.50mm Pico-SPOX things, but they are incredibly expensive, if you consider the complete set, esp if you need to find a way to crimp it yourself without the £400 crimp tool :)
I saw 1 1.5 JST set of wired terminals, but they are looking somewhat dodgy too

Guess I'll buy that set and see if it can be slightly modded to plug in, otherwise my plan for own buttons may have to wait, unless I reuse parts of the the fanatec pods, just didn't want to destroy them :)

I gave up the search for these connectors a long time ago.

I simply sacrificed two fanatec button pods, cut the orginal wires of and soldered the buttons of my wheel to them.

Hope you find the right ones. If you do, please report back here to help others.

I just purchased the GT shifters from Martin Ascher for the Fanatec Universal hub and the new shifters came with them. I am asking him where he sourced them.

Martins website is http://www.ascher-racing.com/ and he makes an adapter to mount his new shifters to the universal hub

Thanks man. I have a tiny hope he also knows and willing to tell you where one could get the 4-pin ones, not just the 2-pin shifter connectors. Would be great to have those too, but for me of a much lesser importance, as the only shifter mod I am making is a static paddle shifter, but I'm gonna be plugging that in via RJ12 at the back, like my other seq shifter
so yeh, 4 pin ones are the ones I am in need of

I'm probably the only one left here who's interested in these connectors, but I think I found a good substitute for the connector headers here. Having tried it on the hub sockets, it seems to work well, with a minor mod of cutting off the side sliders/grooves, quite an easy job. Just waiting on the final puzzle bits in form of right crimps. Gonna be interesting crimping them w/o the crimping tool, but I am not gonna spend £20+ on a tool I'd only use once or twice

Just so if anyone else is looking for these in the future - this worked very well for me. Might need a tiny bit of cutting off either or both sides, as the grooving is slightly different, but they can actually plug in and hold well even w/o that, so it was a winner here.
this is the listing, Took 4.5 weeks to finally arrive, while other connectors from them arrived a lot earlier, so hit and miss with deliveries
