Need everyone's help on my 1988 camaro project.

But that's the great thing about it, I love when the backend slides out. It makes me happy in my special places. 👍

Oh don't get me wrong i love it too. My dad has a farm in NC and i stayed with him from age 11-15 and when i was 12 he let me drive\have a 79 280z with a straight 6 in it. Man that car was kinda fast! The first thing i did was get out in the field and when i hit second i popped it a bit and well, my love for drifting started then. Everyday i was out there after school sideways as could be. All this was before the term "drifting" was even a big word in america. Im a country boy so we just called it gettin sideways. But like with my Mustang and my cousins TA, there are times you don't want it to get loose and well....those cars just don't give a 🤬 what you want. If you are making over 350 hp in one they step out if you are WOT. Even with coil-overs and every other goodie that you could throw on it to help with traction.

Wow, speaking of sliding, my dad takes me sliding on the dirt road in it all the time! It's awesome! Even though it did cost us a tire once =D

I like the c4 suspension idea along with the flowmaster idea. I heard this 88 IROC with the muffler cut off at the converter once, and that thing sounded TERRIBLE. Besides, I want it to sound like a v8 while still being a v6, for now. My dad said something about this muffler setup that came with these disks that fit into it, and each one you put into it gave it a different tone. Know anything about that?

Yes i know all about them. Look at the design and you will see that it will just sound horrible if you think about it. A guy that came to my friends shop to have a rebuild done had them on the rat rod he had, sounded bad to me. Not to mention the flow that you will loose using that. As far as getting a V-6 to sound like a V-8 your out of luck on that. Best sound you could get out of the V-6 is to use a 40 or 50 series 3 chamber flowmaster IMO, pref the 50 series on the V-6. It won't be super loud (which with the V-6 it will sound bad if it gets too loud) but it will have a nice deep mellow tone to it. But if it were me i would put the money towards the swap and not on a lost cause:sly: You will be surprised how little things you have to buy add up. A hose here and a another pulley there to clear this and that oh and need new motor and trans mounts...etc. etc.
