Not sure if this is the right place for this thread...

Please can people head on over to www.karensweb.co.uk/18 and check out my project website.

I need user-testing and I thought you guys and gals at GTP are just the people for the job ;)

Nice clean, simple site. 👍

The only suggestion I have is, proofread. You have a lot of punctuation and spelling errors, not to mention using the word "learnt".

You have a forum for GT5, and then one for Xbox. Wouldn't it be better to have a PS3 forum with sub-forums and an Xbox forum with the same? Also, have one for PC Racing, and put sub-forums below that.

And you need an off-topic section, people like to hear themselves talk...about anything.

And add a bit of color. Kinda bland looking. Sorry.

Other than that,not bad.

Oh yeah, spelling ftw ! should of corrected that before putting it here, lmao !!

I knew about the errors, have done for a long time, content is only there to fill the site out really, obviously will read through before its needed for marking xD

The inspiration is GTP really, not going to lie :P .

The Forum is kind of an after thought, getting the forum to match the rest of the website was the main priority, the forums themselves are just useless content. Very easy to do so will get the forum's and sub-forums' sorted last minute really.

I know its pretty much colourless, and I'm not sure why, that's just what I ended up with, it goes well, without the risk of colour making it look tacky, "safe" would be the word lol.

Thanks for feedback :)

What you think about a background picture?

Would slow the site down and due to it being really quite fast (besides the forum) I'm not sure if I want to.

Also there is an "off-topic" thread, it's at the very top , "general discussion" . :)

It's said that imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, so thank you. Best of luck with the site. 👍

I can't scroll up or down the page on my phone. I just see the top two stories on the page and can't do anything else.

Could be your network, or my hosting (Although it hasn't done that for me), yet.

Basically only loading top 2 posts. You can scroll, it just hasn't loaded that far, I imagine.

Spelling isn't a "problem" just something I have chosen to ignore due to other things taking priority. Due for completion in 2 days-ish so I need to have it sorted by then.

Implemented Karma on the forum. :)

Very thankful for all your comments, will aid my user testing immensely !

Knew the guys at GTP would be the people to ask. :D

My network? Not sure why my wifi wouldn't fully load the page.
Either way, it works now. Changed browser and its fine.

Nice website, as said before it looks similar to GTP, but that isn't a bad thing.

It does look abit empty in places, however I guess that as the website gets bigger these will quickly be filled.

In all it looks clean, easy to navigate. Good job.

Good solid start, just needs a little polishing Pretty impressed with the loading speed in firefox.

- Logo not distinct enough in colour. You need to add more of a contrast to the background, just looks washed out. A nice drop shadow might fit well.
- Menu text, while well placed, needs softened a little. Consider a friendlier font or tone down the bold.
- 'page 1 . . 2' has no purpose at the top of the page, wasted space.
- Whilst your facebook/twitter icons are very cool, they are out of place. Try and use similar techniques in your banner, will even it up a little.

Something to work on, try opening the GTplanet page and then shrinking the page horizontally. Notice how the logo stays in front of the image.
Something you should consider programming.

Keep up the good work, as i said, its just polishing now.

Thanks again !

changed font, darkened background, removed underline from navigation bar.

:)

Already looking a lot cleaner. Good work.

I love the way the buttons work, very clever. If you could change the way they look even better.

Now just to be picky, i would lower your logo a few pixels. Seems to be sitting a little high. But really, thats just me being fussy.

Also a bug on page two, still saying 'welcome to......'. Although i'm sure you have seen that already.

Finally, just for consistency, keep an eye on your post date and author, not sure if its just firefox, but they dont always line up. Pick a place in each post for it, and keep it there. Probably something to do with your image size of allignment.

Looks like it lines up with the bottom of the images on chrome.

(Un-expanded posts).

Also, refresh the page for page 2, you may have a cached version :) .

Thank you for great feedback !
