I read about this one just today. On the one hand, it's EA and it's NFS.. two names that I haven't been very fond of lately. On the other hand, they're revamping the NFS series again.
As you know, the original NFS involved street racing to an extent, usually on closed courses.. you and a few opponents. Later they threw some cops into the mix.
The first revamp was when NFS got stupid... they made a bunch of Fast and the Furious type games.. illegal street racing, idiotic ricer modz, etc. Wit da thumpin' neon and.. er.. whatever.
Now, they're taking it in another direction, and believe it or not, it sounds promising. Sounds like sort of a combination of the two previous iterations, but much closer to the original than the ricer-crap.
The closest real-world thing I can compare it to is what they used to call "Sportsman's Night" at the local race track. Where folks would bring their cars to the track and race 'em. And apparently, that's what this new game is about. The mods are still there from the stupid NFS, but this time, they're performance mods and not "bling" mods. Spoilers that behave like spoilers. Looks like custom stickers and such are available. But the action takes place on closed-off street courses and actual race tracks instead of open traffic-filled road.

What do you guys think? Is it too late for NFS to redeem itself? Or wait and see? Or OMGBESTTHINGEVAR?
