G27 vs. Carrera vs. GT3rs (v2)
:scared:
At first, I was all about the G27. Has everything I wanted, and then I saw the Carrera wheel, and for only $159, plus shipping. I love the look of the shifter, and the click. From my research, I have found that most prefer the fanatec over the logitech, easier to find the gears, and don't miss shifts. But I am unsure about the pedals. Which brings me to the GT3 rs v2 with the clubsports. Everything I have read about the wheel and pedals is phenomenal. Feels like a real wheel, ff is great, and the pedals are top notch. But I don't see the gt3rs Clubsport package anymore on fanatec as of December. And I also hear Shipping for fanatecs are 1 month. This would Be my first FFB wheel.
I live in USA though....... Please voice opinions and Help!:sly:

I have a G27 the best wheel ever made! I don't know what you mean by clicks. Even tho the G27 is $300 it will last a long time. I don't know about the other wheels but I'm extremely happy with this wheel. Within the first hour of using it I totally forgot about the price tag. You won't regret buying this wheel if you do!

Good Luck

G27 is a formidable wheel I agree.

If I were you though I'd hang out to check out the new Thrustmaster about to be released.

Wasn't $500 the conversion from the Japanese price, which is also what the G27 would be? That was the last I heard anyway, maybe they've confirmed the actual US price since then.

G27s are $500 now?! Wow, thank god I got mine when it was $300.

Yep the G27 is an awesome wheel! I can't speak about the Fanatec as I have never seen one. I have a G27 and two DFGT'S. For those of us who drive for the fun not necessarily for the most "realistic" the DFGT's without the clutch is nice and simple! The ability to set the sequential hand shifter up as a handbrake is really nice!. I would imagine the G25 is a good compromise. If money is a question pick up a used DFGT for $50 and have fun!!!

Yeah the 500$ ? I'll pass....... More answers please!

This is how much the G27 is in Asian markets. Australia G27 is $599rrp but of course noone pays that price, I got mine shipped from the US. Thrustmaster may be similar pricing.

All I mean is, since it's not long before Thrustmaster launch, I'd wait.

I have a Fanatec Turbo S with the Clubsport pedals. I cant speak for the GT3 rs although it is the same internals just not the wheel itself, but the pedals will blow any other pedal set out of the water. The wheel is awesome also, and you don't hear all those clicks and grinds that you do w/ gear driven wheels either.

edit: Also it took exactly one week from when I clicked "buy" to when it arrived at my door. And I live on the opposite side of the country.

Seriously, did you think twice before saying it is the best wheel ever made. Do you understand that there are lots of wheels to choose from some costing in excess of $1000. The G27 is far from the "BEST EVER MADE". However it is an extremely good wheel I am holding out to try to see a few more opinions of people who used both the fanatecs line and the g27. Until then my money is on the fanatec wheel being the better of the 2 especially the pedal box. I am not sure what the g27 uses in the brake sensor however the fanatec uses a very precise cell sensor.

I have the Fanatec PWTS with standard pedals great wheel, have had some issues with the pedals but still work fine. The shifter is a bit of an issue. Those two rods they give to hold the shifter do not seem to work very well. The gated shifter is firm and stiff but I find that the mounting system is not secure enough to keep the shifter in place. No biggie for me as I prefer the paddles and am not using either of the sticks that came with it but if I were I would have to bolt them down.

I have the DFGT and as good as it is for the price it's starting to feel a little cheap to me. I started GT series with prologue and the wheel was a great way to get started but I have gotten more serious since GT5 came out. Just ordered the Playseat Evo and have started looking at wheel. I first started looking at the G27 but unfortunately came across the Fanatec GT2 Clubsport edition and now I am torn. It looks like a lot better quality wheel although I have heard some reliability issues and customer service issues but I don't always believe everything people post in regards to that stuff. The pedals are beautiful. But it's a few hundred more and looks like a longer wait to get. I'm going to keep researching until the new year but I am leaning towards the Fanatec. Hopefully people that already ordered get them soon so they can review them.
