I carry a lot of stuff to work. Lunch box, hard hat, iPad, DSi, cell phone, a magazine or two, and wall chargers/spare batteries for all devices. As you can imagine, my bag is pretty cramped. Right now, the lunch box and hard hat are in one compartment, the iPad, DSi, and magazines are in the next compartment, and all the batteries and wall chargers are thrown into one pocket. I want something a little more organized, preferably a bag with more small pockets so each charger has its own space instead of them all being jumbled together in one pocket. I've kinda looked into some backpacks made for photographers to carry around their gear. Those types of bags have plenty of individual small pockets, but no where really to put my lunchbox or hard hat. They are also crazy expensive. I'm not looking to spend a fortune. My current LL Bean bag retails for around $70, so I suppose I'm looking to spend around $100, maybe $150 tops. Unfortunately, I think I'm going to have to spend more to get what I want though. Anyone have any suggestions?

I have both a laptop backpack (closest I can find to mine) and a DSLR backpack. There is no way a hardhat would fit in the DSLR pack, but the laptop pack should do the job. I could do some rough measuring if you'd like.

Your iPad would easily fit in the laptop section and there is plenty of space for the adapters, etc. The only thing I'm not sure of is if the lunchbox would also fit with the hard hat. Again, measuring might answer that.

Something like this? It seems like there is lot of pockets according to the reviews and seems like you could fit a hard hat and lunchbox into it. Not much of a expert in backpacks but I think it should do the job for years. I personally own a LLBean backpack and it has been running 5 years strong with a slight tear in a strap.

That backpack looks pretty much like what I have already. I did some quick searching last night, and it looks like a military backpack would fit the bill quite nicely actually. Something like this. Anyone have any experience with similar bags?
