Need help getting gold in A License

So far I've got all gold until A8,except A1 and A3.
I need some help getting gold of these two.
A1 is Supra @ Deep Forest,gold is .400 and the best I've got is about .59x
A3 is RX7 @ GV,gold is .800 and the best I've got it .820 (pretty damn close! I was about to punch into the screen when I saw that:crazy:)
I've tried more than 20 times and I still haven't got a gold.
So, does anybody have any tips? I'll be grateful.

Best tip I can give is: use manual gears.
It gives so mutch more control in the corners.

And 20 times at one licence test is nothing, I've sometimes tried hundreds of times to gold some specific licences.
So, be persistant! 👍

I'm currently working on a starter pack for PS3/GT1 which will include all licences gold and the pricecars from the licences.

Alredy done same for GT2 , but GT1 is a little more difficult one. :D

I finally passed that two tests and got my TRD3000GT. I haven't driven it tho.

The best tip I can give is: Brake LATE! As late as you can control.
On A1 don't brake until you hit the second brake mark. Then control your brake and steer to drift(small degrees!) into the apex and floor the throttle out! (Once I finished .802 and I did punch into the screen...)
As for A3,don't brake until you hit the left curb. Then you must have a good racing line,hitting apex then flat out!

The day number is a bit embarassing though, after finishing these two.

MadMax86: Which version are you using? The Japanese one, the Europe one or the US one? I've heard the [R] Concept car differs in these version. I'm using the Japanese one.
 
All right, now I have 3 IA tests left in silver and bronze, they are: IA-1 (High Speed Ring,I got a silver) and two Special Stages( I got bronze).

It seems that other IA tests are easy as hell, and the easiest is the DeepForest one..you just need to learn to use grass andyou'll get a gold easily.

Does anybody has any tips finishing these 3, beside using manual? (I've already used that)

I used IA-1 HSR as the one to repeat to get the different colours of prize car.

Maybe that wasn't the best choice. But from what I recall (years ago), I just zeroed in on the correct speed for all corners with a sort of binary search. (Attempting to avoid squealing). I think it took an average of about four tries to get each extra gold after the first one, but I didn't take notes that detailed.

SSR11 is just a case of practice. Maybe a bit of wall in the middle. ...
And putting corner combinations together, especially at the beginning and end.

SSR5 actually seemed like it might have been the easiest of all. I rushed to save the gold, then wondered if I should have used it as the test to get all colours.
 
In GT1 a rather late apex seems to get best time..especially IA-1,in the S corner

Edit: Ah.. I forgot to save one to get all colors.. Mine is gray
