NEED HELP!! Grinding noise

Hey guys, i'm having some problems with my ps2, it's making some grinding noises with almost all games (except for gt3;), yet), i opened it last week and clean the laser but, it's not a laser problem, it reads the disks, but after a while starts the noise and it freezes and continues with almost all of my games. I've read some threads, but i think none it's helpfull, the grinding noise comes from the motor that moves the laser gear (the white plastic thing where the lens sits on), but all i read said it might need some lubrication or that is worn, what can i really do to fix it???????:confused:
 
I think the rails for the lens are dirty or unlubricated. You could use some oil but grease is best. Just clean the rails then put some grease or oil on them.
 
same problem i have.i don't want to mess with it{but i took it apart to fix the DRE errors i was having with it :) }

use lithum grease{white grease} to fix it.put it on the sides and underside of the cd tray.don't use oil cause you can mess up the ps2 that way.
