I've never heard of anything like this but I would try the obvious and restart your PS3.

"Just signed up online"? If you got to level 30 on aspec on your account and then went to an online lobby. That shouldnt stop anything. Now, If you had to make a differant username to play online that is differant from the one you used to play offline, that is the reason.

cheers. So if i change my user name to match my online name would that help ? Or would i need to change my online name to match my ps3 name ?

Just make your account that your using an online account, I would think.Nvr had this issue. All my user names are also for online. You can try that.If not, you may have to start over with a name that is also setup for online use.
