Need help Identifying an old car

Whilst looking through some papers of my Great-grandfathers, my Father stumbled across this photograph

It was taken in 1967 according to the back of the photograph. My Great-Grandfather had all sorts of cars(Triumphs, Austins, Chevys, Fords, A Dump truck, and many more) and things laying about his plot of land, until he moved north and left some of it. So we're curious about what car this is, or if it's even a car. I know the photograph is in a pretty poor state, but if anyone can tell me what it is, it's all of the car folk on the forum. Any help would be great!

Looking at the right side of the car, the tail-light to me almost looks like the one from a Camaro.
 
It looks to me like the roof is highly domed, if that helps. I have no idea, though if it's a wide angle camera it could be a Camaro.
 
Man you really gave us a tough one. I can't even tell what I'm looking at. If that's the rear, the glass doesn't seem to look like that of a camaro.
 
My mother just suggested that maybe it was a Nova? I know its a long shot, given the state of the photograph, but still, maybe a fun brain-teaser
 
I'm trying to distinguish what is what, but the photo doesn't even seem symmetrical. You can make out a taillight and another light to its right on the left side. The greenhouse seems to be too sloped on the side to be a muscle car.
 
From what I can see, it looks like the front of a car, with the nose out of the picture.
 
The camaro and the nova are too square to be the car in the picture. What I'm trying to match is the taillight in the bottom left corner.
 
I've had a mess around with the image in Photoshop and i'm not convinced that it's a car at all. My guess is that it's a boat of some sort, perhaps not a complete one. There appears to be lengths of wood in the forefront of the image. They're either resting on the object or are part of the structure.

What looks like a screen and roofline at the top of the image is far too smooth to be something pre '67. The 'glass' is far too flush and there's no sign of any guttering around the edges that cars of that era usually had.

Cool, you found cars with circle-shaped taillights. Now how about the rest of the car?


I'm voting boat at this point as well. Noting what looks like the roof of a car above the glass, that could also be the front end of a boat.
 
Yep, going to go with the boat thing. Pretty sure you are looking down into a boat, not looking through the back glass of a car.
 
I also think it's a boat.

If we eliminate color as a means of identification (that red spot could be anything judging by the deterioration of the rest of the photo) and increase the contrast you can see that the top is either very highly rounded or there is a considerable amount of lens distortion. If you look at the background, the opening of the garage is nearly perfectly square, so the lens was probably around 50mm focal length, probably causing no distortion. So it either is that round or we are looking at the photo wrong.

I think the front end of whatever is in the photo is raised up quite a bit, otherwise the vanishing points of the rest of the geometry of the photograph don't make sense. The 'curve' then, I think, is actually the opening of the cockpit of the boat, and you can see the bow just in front of that. You can actually see some sort of opening into the bow just below the cowl of the cockpit too. It seems to be missing the windshield though, but if the front end is that high, it would make sense that the boat is being repaired.

I would guess some variant of a Chris Craft, but it's hard to say.

This is what I was thinking from first looking at the picture. Looks almost spot on as if you were looking into the floor of a 60's speed boat from behind.
 
Alright, boat it is. Now to sift through more papers to see if he ever recorded as having ever owned a boat, or what type it may be.

Can't be ... the picture was taken in '67, these are post '67 cars. I'm still pondering what this may be. It's kind of tough. The curvature of the roof line is really throwing me off.
