Need help making my 2000 camaro SS Faster

I did all the mods it has 655HP But lacks top speed and take off. i did buy the custom trans and i was messing with it to try to get a higher top speed. it always will max out at 207. i would like to get it to 225-230mph i really just play in the drag rooms and im loseing to my buddys that are useing cars with 100 less hp. is there anything else i can do? best trans settens? i did try to max it out at 260 but it wouldent go over 200 then

Have you done all of the weight reducing mods? That would be a place to start. Also, full custom suspension and drop the ride height all the way down and stiffen your springs up and compression on the rear shocks. Do not run any downforce mods like spoilers. And go with racing soft tires. That should help you out. Also, test your top speed mod on the transmission. Raising the top speed above what your aerodynamic drag and horsepower can obtain is useless. Raising top speed reduces acceleration and vice versa. Find out what your car can do by lowering top speed maybe 20 mph at a time.

your top speed on track is like 20-30 mph lower than your setup. if you have aero on it lower the downforce and also lower your car at all.
