NEED HELP! my gt4 won't work!

so... i have this kind of a problem... when i put my gt4 disc in the drive the machine doesn't recognize my disc! i've tried this million times but it doesn't seem to help. gt4 manual says that if i have a certain kind of console(first ones to come in finland) i should see ps2's manual, but i don't have it...
SO... has anybody had this kind of problem?? i really would be happy if somebody could help me....:(
 
Best advice I can give you is to take a look here, which would save your time, my time, and in fact, everybody's time.

thanks... strangest thing is that i've tried it with my friend's console and it worked well. i've also tried different discs but no...
btw. ive been a member for a year but haven't been writing at all...

Then it must be the lens in your console which needs some cleaning. Try this, or search on GTP.
