Ok i have just bought the bfg 6600 gt oc 128 mb vid card and i would like to know if it will run with a 300w PSU my setup is

p4 3.06 ghz
2 dvd burners
2 80 gb hard drives
soundblaster audigy 2 plat
1 gb of ram

the thing is my dad is running a 6600 gt with a 300w psu and he doesn't have to plug his in and from what i can remember he has a 3.4 p4 and a 200 gb hard drive and i think 1 gb of ram.
So if anyone can help by telling me if i will be able to run it with no problems that would be kick ass.

Kris, I've told you before, I'll tell you again. 300 watts isn't enough to safely run that card. It doesn't help that your +5 voltage rail is hitting 4.08v which is 20% off from par.

Your system isn't getting enough power as it is. Want proof? Check the PSU calculator:

The specs for your system including the 6600GT require roughly 327 watts not including the fans and usb devices you have connected. Get a 400w PSU and get a branded one. The el cheapo ones that come with computer cases are generally not reliable.
