Hello GTP, I need help simply :lol:
I have a project to undergo for my Technology and Design.

I would like to ask you guys for help on searching a problem. My topic is cars so Im looking for problems of cars that can be fixed. What need to be included at least is some electronics, hydraulics and programming etc


e.g.

Problem - Car gets stolen
Solution - Car alarm or tracker etc

I dont know much about car problems (dont even have one...so...)

Im thinking of simple problems lol

I have to make this by the way so It has to be a small problem.

E.g. Automatic Headlights on - use a light sensor etc

Solution: Add a bigger V8! :dopey:

Dunno, man. Sounds like serious trouble. It all depends on your experience fixing stuff. Sure, I could tell you "Broken suspension. Fix it.", but what merit does that give me?

Automatic hi-beam dimmer? It shouldn't be too hard for the car to sense headlights coming in the other direction, and turn off the brights...

They don't sell proper washer fluid near you? I did a high school chemistry project on freezing points of various windshield washer fluid brands' freezing points. I found that out-of-the-bottle ethylene glycol doesn't solidify until -40C unless you dilute it even slightly. Your market must be getting the shaft from the guys at the bottling facility.
 
Automatic car-seat adjuster.

You sit down, it senses your weight and hydraulics move the seat forward-back depending on a weight pre-set in an electronic memory.

Not good for yo-yo dieters.

The Governor is suppose to limit people speeding.
Back ago, my dad had a suggestion of having a certain sensor to let cops know that your wearing a seat belt in the vehicle.
Problem: What do we do with the Battery of a Prius? Since we can recycle and reused conventional Batteries.
Solution: Venture more in actual Electronic cars.
Problem: How to stop Street Racing?
Solution: You can't though if you have more available tracks in a area then it will decline .

Problem= Can't hear the siren from Police, Ambulance or Fire-Truck.
Cause = Music is too loud. Wind blowing in wrong direction.
Solution= Factory fitted alarm and light mounted on dash, to warn driver that the vehicle is approaching, probably linked to GPS.
 
Problem: Speeding tickets.

Solution: (monochrome) liquid crystal panel in front of the license plate that automatically blots out the plate if you go over a certain speed. :D

Problem: rapid deflation of tire after puncture.

Solution: glue a fix-a-flat can to the rim inside the tire. Tire deflates, can is squeezed between steel rim and the ground, bursts open... instant re-inflation! :lol:
 
Didn't the H1 series hummer have some sort of system like that?
