On to the endurance races now and they're really taking a lot out of me, but not quite like the Foruma GT races... With some enduro's you can use superior cars over the high lap count. But with these Formula GT races it's not only a huge race but a huge problem to keep pace with the rest of the F GT's. Does anyone have any tuning/settings for the Formula GT that would help with these races?

Use race soft tires.
Set your TC on 5, ASM: ON, always use race:soft tires even on rain surfaces, you will blow the competition with those.
Practise the circuits if you are not fast enough.

Thanks guys, you know I was wondering why I was getting wheelspin through relatively gentle turns, checked the tyres and they're racing:hards... Just switched to softs and it's a lot better, thanks for the help guys!

I just did it my 2nd time. 1st time did all the races and missesd bronze by 5 pts. This time I golded the first 4 and got behind in the fifth race, got frustrated and retired ( somebody here said they golded the first 4 and retired the next 2 and still got gold. I ended up missing gold by 25 pts and got silver. A lot of time for missing gold but I was getting too frustrated. Main irritation was down the long straights the cars behind me would catch up to me and the cars in front of me would pull away. The AI cars must be faster.

I have finished every section up to the endurance races gold except this one. It's going to bug me seeing that silver there but it's just too much work to try it again anytime soon.

When I got to this event...I seriously just wanted to get through it on my first try...so I switched to Automatic Transmission. It makes a huge difference.

Gear selection is much more important in these races than in others. Plus, not having to pay super close attention for 20 laps at 3 in the morning is cool.

Races are still tough, but you should usually be able to open up a nice 4 or 5 second lead if you race cleanly.

I did that Formula GT championship when I first got my hands on my Formula GT didnt bother doing regular races went straight for championship

I had gold on all 4 but the one on the monaco like circuit I made a lot of mistakes and eventually I couldnt recover from my mistakes but obviously I still became champion at the end because I had 4 golds :)

went back for like 2 hours of re trying my mind was wandering off when I just kept repeating it to finish off the monaco like circuit

I play with Driving force GT with steering simulation set to real , force feed back set to 10 (max) , and no aids only 1 abs , skid recovery off

every setting was pretty much on the simulation. Ive played all the time in GT5 f2007 in prologue thats why i know how to control / recover in a slide

except for the ABS part I needed to set it to 1 atleast although in the real F1 cars in real life being specific about the FIA division of formula cars ABS have been banned since 1990 so I do not think its right to need ABS just to drive the Formula Cars.

Even though i have 1 ABS the formula GT car was and still is very turbulent on turn it braking. They should remove the ABS setting on the formula cars and have a permanent 1 on it. Need to get used to the real feel of formula cars! :D

I can't imagine driving it in auto. I am so used to driving manual I can't seem to slow the car down without manually shifting the gears.

I ran it a few days ago. Gold on the first 2, wrecked on the third and settled for Bronze. Gold on the next 2 aborted the last because I already had enough points to win, it was late, I was tired and it was raining on Suzuka.

I'll do that one later plus go back and replace that Bronze with Gold but right now am trying to win the X1.
