i have a few tips for learners
1: start of with a low hp RWD car , like a silvia k series , mine has about 245hp an is enough to learn.
2: i allways try to initiate a drift bij doing the scandinavian flic , but be gentle.
3: if your car is slowing down during a drift , you can allways give a clutch kick , also to initiate a drift , this is a good trick.
4: i rarely use the e-brake , its very hard to control.
5:watch a lot of onboard movies of drifters , you sometimes see the way they drift , and pick up a few tricks or hints.
6: Patience , patience and again , patience , drive lap after lap , day after day , drifting is something you cant learn in 15 min.
7: i have made a few drifttracks in the track creator , i pick the tokyo bay scene and a short very curved track , allways nice to have a small track to drive , that you know well, just to learn .
8: tsukuba , drive it every day with the same car , and you will learn eventually, i allways find myself with a big grin on my face when its starting to work out.
9 : IMPORTANT , use comfort tyres , i find all other tyres to grippy , especially when the car finds it, grip again , and throws itself the other way.
10: sometimes a small amount of camber to the front wheels reduces the understeer and gives you more angle. the max for me is about -1.0
those are a few tricks an tips i can give u , i use a G25, with no aids , not even abs, no servo , and hardest ffb.
if u want to add me and drive a couple of laps behind me on tsukuba , pm me.
and keep dorifto fun :-)
