Need help with new wheel :@

Hi there, I got a g27 for christmas. I have been desperate for one since gt5 came out. I was just wondering whether the wheel is faulty or not because When i am using it he wheel just seems to turn where it wants and when I crash and try to move it jus starts turning everywhere. I know that there is force feedback but i'm doing less than 110mph and the wheel is very stiff whatever speed i'm going. But the most annoying thing is turning, i try and go round a bend at a reasonable speed and i add a little bit of power and the wheel just suddenly spinning so i just end up spinning the car i try to correct a tiny amount of oversteer and he wheel spins so much its just doing my head in as i have waited a while for it and so far its a big disappointment:guilty:. Any help would be appreciated. Sorry about the essay lol.

Speaking as someone who had never used a wheel before I got GT5, it takes some getting used to. The first day I made a fool of myself trying to demo it for my family members, but 3 weeks later it's second nature for me.

Also, make sure you have the steering set to "Simulation" in the main options menu.

This will help you out quite a bit. If it isnt set to simulation the wheel goes kinda crazy when you begin to spin out. It's some kinda correction helping mechanism that is on with the default setting. I personally think it's horrible and it confused the hell out of me for the first few hours of using my new wheel. Turning it off will give you much better feel for how much traction your car is actually getting and you'll spend less time fighting with your wheel.
