ok so i have ben trying tp drift, and eveytime i try to drift a corner my car catches its countersteer and it just spins out. can you give me sometips, i am using a DFP too if that matters. am i doing something wrong or do i just need alot of practice, because it pisses me off whem i keep spinning ouit lol.

Im sorry to say but the only sure way to get better is to practice. When i got my DFP some 5 months ago (damm time flys) i was very dissapointed with it to such an extent that i didnt use it for a month or two. One day i realised i had wasted the best part of £100 on a new ornament so decided to give it another go, again i sucked at it and still do compared to a few of the drifters on here but i have improved 100 times what i used to be. I messed around with the DFP settings and it made catching the drift a little easyer. I have it on simulation and the strength on strong. then i press select r3 (i think) and the downshift padde and it it loosens the DFP a little. I found this works for me. Watching vid from other people is also very helpfull as u can see there lines and angles. I learnt that you dont have to be doing 90 degree drifts everywhere like i was doing then wondering why i couldnt link any corners or be as fluent as others. Also search for GT4 maps as i found these usefull for learning lines.

So get behind that wheel and practice practice practice, and if you got anymore questions then PM me and i will try and help you or point you in the right direction. Try search the forums as 90% of the time what you are looking for will be on this forum somewhere.

one more bit of advice, dont expect to become a drift master over night because unfortunately its not going to happen.

Happy drifting

Thanks Spec,

Well, we have a good amount of new drifter threads and drifting faqs, references and other great info. Check on that. Once you do, if you have a specific question not addressed in those or you find the info and it's NOT helpful, come on back and ask a questions.

We encourage new drifters to be active. However, this is a very common early drifting problem(I had it myself :sly: ) So you'll find lots of info on it.

Swift.
