need some advice

it seems wierd for me to ask for advice but here it goes.

In GT3 i have just started the simulation game and and well into the beginner league. i have a Lancer EVO VII with 333hp and want to race in some of the Amatuer races like the American, European and Japanese Championship.

Now i need to know how hard those races are and what is a good hp ratiing to race them on.

Also i skipped the Beginner World Championship and i need to know whats is a good car for that race as well.

please give advice on what i can do or could do.
 
From memory, the Lancer Evo VII at 333hp should be able to keep up with the cars in those cups, but it might be a bit of a stretch. The car is good, but you might want a bit more horse power to keep up in the straights.

I don't remember what I did on the Dream Car in Beginer. That was like a year ago or something.
 
Your best bet would be to save your game, then actually test your car out in those championships to see how competitive it is. Upgrade the car as necessary until you are competitive. When you are satisfied, reload your game and re-buy all the parts you bought and run the races. That way, you won't have put unecessary miles on your car and wasted money, and you will also have experienced the competition before hand instead of relying on what someone else said.

As for the Beginner League GT World, I think the competition is rally cars. Your Lancer should be able to take care of that too once you upgrade it enough.
 
Take a look at my compendium. I hate to toot my own horn, but the listing I have written will allow you to compare your car and times to mine to figure out where you can use the Lancer.

Keep in mind, that I was not (and still aren't) an exceptional driver. Click on the compendium in my sig to get there.

The Lancer will do a pretty good job for some of the races in Amateur.

I ran the early parts of Amateur in my trusty 370-hp Evo VI RS. I believe that's also what I used in the Beginner World Championships. That was back before I really started taking notes, so I'm going on memory.

But yes, you should be able to do it with a little more horsepower as insurance, as LoudMusic suggests. Boost your car a bit more, then go do some qualifying runs and see where you stand against the AI.
 
Early parts of Amateur for me involved an F1 ;). :lol:
