Okay, when I got my laptop, one of the first things I got for it was the Doom Collection. Classic games.
However, there are 2 other classic games that I would love to have in my collection but can't seem to find them anywhere. They are Quake and Duke Nukem 3D.
Can anybody help? Would they run on Vista?

Hey I'd suggest you download the Doomsay program for Doom. After playing Doom for Ps1 I was craving the PC version get colored lighting. I just hate the arch vile that isnt in the PS1 version.

Doomsday adds custom resolutions and other enhancement. All you need is the .wad file for doom. Its a joy playing it on my 42 in TV in 1080p via HDMI.

If you know what M.A.M.E. is spend a good day getting the games for it if you have a controller. I have so many games on my Laptop its impossible to play them all in a year.

I think you will need Windows 7 or a Dos emulator to run Duke Nukem, i tried and it did not work. I still have almost every PC I ever bought including ever Need for speed game released.

Ok I tried downloading the Doomsday program. Got installed and it is now a shortcut on my desktop. However, whenever I try to run it with Ultimate Doom, I keep getting a message saying that it can't find the .wad file, even when I show it where it is. I also get a message saying that the original shareware version of Doom needs to be installed. I bought the Doom collection for my laptop from Activision for a tenner, and it contains Ultimate Doom, Doom II and Final Doom. I would love to play these with updated graphics.
Please help, I am not as good with PC's and laptops as I am with consoles!

If you google enough, you will find Hi-res Duke Nukem 3D. Same levels and what not just better textures and effects, worthy.

I have the two expansion packs for Duke Nukem: Washington D.C. and (can't recall the second). I will have to look and see where they are at. Duke was such a great game in its time, I have the free version on my iPhone. "It's time to kick ass and chew bubblegum"!

ok get the file 1.9.0-beta6.9, eveything worked but i had to put the doomx.wad file in a folder that it can find it when choosing the path on the setup screen. It worked.

Again, double dutch to me. A simple step-by-step set of instructions would be nice. I'm not old, and I'm not thick, but I have only owned a laptop for a year. Every other system I have owned has been a games console or a basic home computer - Atari 800XL, Atari ST, Megadrive, Mega_CD, 32X, Saturn, PS1, PS2, PS3/PSP.:dunce:

Oh, sorry. As I had some issues with the program finding the wad file I put in my folder "C:\Users\Justin" Justin is my User folder, I put it there as it would not read it in a different one. You got it( installed and go to top menu select "tool" then run setup wizard again. select your language the select the games you want to use. Find the folder containing the .wad matching the name its looking for. After that click next until it closes. Next there will be a new tab for the game you chose choose your settings and run the game to see if it works. I recommend windowed mode wile testing. It will only let run games that have .wads for I've noticed.

I used Doom2.wad since I cant find my other discs at the moment.
