Hey, now I've been playing this game but I'm not the best. So I am getting this game for my cousin for his birthday and just wanted some tips to give him when he gets it because he lives in Houston and I in Indiana, so I can't be there to give him the tips in person. My brother is down there but he's no good either. So if you can give me some tips to give to him when I give him the game that would be very helpful.

Thanks! 👍

Just join GTP and read Q&A

Yes, but their internet is slow as ****, and I don't think he'd join anyway. I want some tips I can wright down on a note for him when he gets the game.

The question is too vague to be answered. Tips on what exactly? The best thing you and your cousin could do, is to simply play the game, and search the different boards on GTP for specific answers.

Tell him if he takes the Veyron or X2011 online his PS3 will explode.

Slow in and fast out is the best tip of all.

Okay, I'll race with him and since we both have mics, I'll give him tips while racing.

haha,

I'll tell him that.

And just to make something clear, he doesn't, and will never own a wheel. (his family is more into COD than racing, but hoping this will get him to expand his games)

Put the game in the console and do whatever you want, not sceintific stuff!

To OP@ Buy a Honda Civic Type R 19,999 from NCD its the best car to begin. After a few races do the licenses tests to get free cars. When he knows how to drive do seasenals to earn money to buy fast cars of his choise. Need more tips PM.

Tell him to do the license tests first. They teach you proper driving techniques.

PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE! The license tips help out a ton, but if you really want to be fast, you've got to practice on a regular basis. You will be nothing more than a has-ran if you don't devote some time towards refining your technique. It doesen't have to be much; I say anywhere from 25-45 minutes a session is all you need. Don't worry about going fast or setting up the car, just concentrate on being as smooth as you possibly can on the gas/brakes and steering. Jerking the car into the turn and slamming on the gas in the middle of the turn may seem fast but it's not. Easy in, easy out; that's all you have to do. Don't overload yourself, and do a little at a time. But most of all, just go out there and let it flow! Don't neglect to do the licenses because they teach basic technique. :D

Thank you! I'll tell him!

Listen to your tires. They tell you everything you need to know.

i love gt5
I think he means balans and grip or he's just making a joke.

No joke. Great grip indicator. Too quiet, more grip on hand. Too loud, not enough grip left.

This will help him more than anything.

This will help him more than anything.

If he is planning on driving with SRF, sure.
If not, the lisence test teach you how not to drive.

Tell your mate to start out with comfort tyres. That will give him a lesson in car control. something slow, like a stock MX5 on comfort medium.
