Neglected U.S

True, but I can remember 5th Gear's review of the new C3 Plurial. The cars that Citroen seem to make on their own seem rather bad.

No argument here... I can see absolutely no purpose for the C3 Pluriel at all.

Seen the new C4? They claim it to be "as revolutionary as the first hatchback"... It has remote-operated sliding doors, so you can get into them in a car park more easily...

It's for people who suck at bay parking so much they can't even do it with a small car that doesn't have sliding doors.

The Citeroen Saxo got a one star (or lower) rating in the crash tests, you couldn't pay me to drive one after I saw one that had been in an accident.

Not if you have a normal-looking one like a 164. Remember those? Only people who know their stuff know it's anything special. But Alfa Graduates, yeah, those'll bring the looks.

That's what Nissan thought when they gave the 4-cylinder Altima as much power as the 6-cylinder L300. In fact, the L300 V6 is the least-powerful V6 midsize sedan. Performance aside, yeah - the L300 3 with chrome wheels isn't so bad-looking.

A joke indeed.

Yeah - there's a case-by-case reason for every vehicle not over here from a company that exists over here.

The biggest interest was expressed a year ago from MG who said it was very possible for a return by 2008! I haven't heard much about it since then, though.

 I think it's unbelievably funny how you can just go around making things up and expect us to believe you all the time.

In the mid-1990s, the US Postal Service made a right-hand drive version of the Jeep Cherokee and Subaru Legacy wagon available to rural mail carriers who, like Victor Vance said, have to reach out their windows to put mail in rural mailboxes. Previously (mid-80s), a right-hand drive version of the Toyota Corolla All-Trac wagon was available. If you drive out to the rural part of your state and check out the government vehicle auctions, usually a right-drive Cherokee or two will show up. And of course, there's no idiotic limit on how many right-drive vehicles can be registered to one person at any time.

Well that explains that guy from Morganville who has Aussie-Spec RHD '56 Bel Air Coupe and (unsure of year) Bel Air wagon...

Of course Euro-NCAP results are fairly remote from real-world situations, but even so... One star! **** off am I getting in one!

What's with all the anti French car sentiment?

From a proud owner of a French car that's nicer looking than yours :p

Nicer-looking? It has a nose that freaking looks like it came off a Mitsubishi Mirage...

I crashed mine and survived :D I hit someone dithering at a roundabout. I only needed a new front bumper and a headlight.

And when someone ran into me, I survived that too. :D It only needed a new tailgate and bumper.

So they're not that ****! I'm living proof. :D

Designed by Pininfarina, no less.

yes the exact point i was about to point out but noticed someone beat me to it...

if Peaugeot can contract out the designers of ferrari, build WRC cars, make hot hatches that are great fun...

they can't be so bad now can they?

p.s. I love the 406 Coupe.. and would really like one in Red with beige interior nice choice of car Daan  👍 :)

Pininfarina are not Ferrari's personal contractors. Pininfarina is an independent design organization that has designed cars for almost every car company out there. It's just a matter of money.

Don't fall back on that - Pininfarina designs a lot of ****.

The Peugeot 406 coupe is not ****, though. Maybe you have to see it in person to really think it's nice?

Pininfarina still have to follow a design brief set by the manufacturer - not even they can make a 'silk purse from a sow's ear'

I realize that

sorry for the poor phrasing i was in a rush i shulda said

"if Peaugeot can contract out the design firm that ferrari almost exclusively uses"

That still doesn't make them special. Peugeot is not a small company, they probably make much more money then Ferrari SpA makes. If they can't afford the likes of Pininfarina, then they're in dire times.

It's because they're not built like Mercs or BMW's - at least thats why Top Gear aren't keen on them, British cars (unless its Aston Martin), Korean cars, US cars or even Swedish cars. Top Gear only like Italian cars, BMWs, Mercs or Astons

And i think US are lucky to have so many domestic cars - Brits only have MG Rover and their MG range is cool (gotta love the ZS 180 and the V8 ZT!) but Top Gear take the piss outta them like no tomorrow - no wodner we all drive BMW 318s and Mercedes S-Classes here. (Because Top Gear love them of course)

Only MG ??????????????????????????????

What about TVR, Marcos, Bristol, Noble, Lotus, Morgan, Caterham, Westfield ??????

As for the 406 Coupe, Same chasis and dash as my previous company motor a 406 saloon that did 50 to the gallon with 4 up. Both are a pile of pish.

Anyway I think some of the US crash regulations turn a nice motor into an ugly beast - look at the bumper regs for a start.

Anyway have you seen the new Lotus GT.............. Bet your jealous !

So it's pish 'cos it's got the same chassis and dashboard as the saloon? The coupe is lower and lighter which means it handles better. You should have got the 3.0 litre V6 instead of the diesel.

What do you drive?
