And, in 2011, it will be the Ferrari FF (exclusive color will be Grigio Caldo).

I recall the Neiman Marcus 2002 Lexus SC 430 had a unique red interior color to go with its gray exterior. I had a customer who needed an interior trim piece, but it took nearly a month to get it shipped.

Potential buyers had to wait 3-6 months during the initial run of SC 430s...so initially there was quite a waiting list, as those NM editions were offered well before the car was ready for actual sale. Luckily, said customer was pretty cool about the wait for that reason, where most Lexus customers got annoyed if the part took more than 2 days.

You know you are breaking the AUP

It's not unusual for the NM cars to be the first batch of an all-new model.

There's no actual promise of Christmas delivery, either (for example, those SC 430s didn't arrive until March 2001). Just a spot on the list.

Still...proof via link/image...these things go a long way towards credibility.

But the C7 Corvette will not be reviled till the 2013 North American International Auto Show which is in January and will be a 2014 model and maybe go on sale at the end of 2013. So people will pay for a car which they do not even know how it looks and won't get it for a year at least.

I wouldn't mind that XLR they offered a few years back. Those are good-looking cars! 👍
