How am I supposed to do these races when there is never a Group C car (787B, R92CP etc) available?

I entered with the recommended car (GT500 Supra) and clearly had no chance. I get that they want to make classic race cars “rare” but that shouldn’t mean “completely unattainable” 🙄

Is there anything I can buy that is always available? I have over 8m credits.

Try golding the Master IA Licenses. They will gift you a Group C Porsche.
If thats not your cup of tea, try upgrading your Supra with a big turbo and other performance parts

With a look at the list, I would guess they (Gr.C ) should mostly be available sometime next month.
Outside of that you are "allowed" to lower the difficulty and then propably have a chance with the Supra.

How do I lower the difficulty?

Eventually, one will show up. Just be patient and grind a little bit until one shows up (I know, it sucks, but that's how they designed the game).

And if you are on Hard difficulty the Supra won't do it, it's just too slow to compete. Normal or Easy is the way to go.

Wait for the 787b to come around in the LCD. It’s the car to win these events:

@RikkiGT-R

Not that it looks like it'll help you since it's not available in the LCD at the moment, or maybe you already have this car ... But I completed these races with the Mercedes CLK-LM.

The car is great, but I do suspect you'll have an easier time clearing them with the Gr.C cars. I struggled to eventually get the wins. But it's another option.

I was working my way through that IA license to get the Porsche. Then when I had almost all gold I realised I had been doing the standard IA license, not the master one 🤣
I’ve got gold on most of the standard licenses but the master is much harder for me. I’ll wait and see if the Legendary Dealer throws up a group C any time soon.

My advice to new players are just two.
Save as many credits you can and second, grab immediately the nissan R92CP and the Mazda 787 when they show up.
The reason for the second part it's just this type of races.
Be aware that any of the group C car Will do the " job " plus the Escudo ( i use it since I didn't have any of the others).
CLK is very expensive compared to the rest of the gang ( i skip this one first time ) but the rest are at reasonable prices or ridiculous cheap compare to what they offer.
A little patient and you will be fine.
If you ask at legendary thread , am sure that someone will answer you about when they come , especially @Eggstor which is the GT7 Wikipedia.

To answer @RikkiGT-R's question, the Porsche 962 C is second in line at Hagerty's. After that, assuming none of the Group C cars show up as Special Picks, the Jaguar XJR-9 is next, though likely not until early January, with the Mazda 787B and Sauber Mercedes likely due late January and the Nissan R92CP about a week after that.

There are tunes for the Suzuki Escudo that, at the time the Neo Classics came out, also worked. I don't know if they're still valid, but that car is due a bit before the Jaguar.

As for prices, the Suzuki (1,700,000 Cr.) and Nissan (2,000,000 Cr...assuming the latter shows up before the January price adjustments) are relatively cheap, and the Porsche was a steal at 1,500,000 Cr. in its last appearance (though it hasn't been around since the September price adjustments). The Mazda and Jaguar are currently quite expensive at 3,000,000 Cr. each, though not nearly as expensive as the Mercedes (3,500,000 Cr.).

The Mazda is still the best of the Gr.C cars due to its fuel economy, IMO. It just works for any race where a Gr.C car is needed. I don’t feel like I can say that about the Jag, the Merc or the Porsche. The Nissan is probably second best in my book, but the Mazda just works better in every case. So my pick will always be the Mazda over any of the other Gr.C cars.
