Probably deserves a thread considering how much this will affect movies, TV and gaming. Consolidation never a good thing but at least Paramount & the Ellisons didn't win.

It’s Official: Netflix to Acquire Warner Bros. in Deal Valued at $82.7 Billion

The streaming giant's proposal includes a $5.8 billion breakup fee and promises to maintain Warner Bros. current operations, "including theatrical releases." Theater owners are already speaking out.

HBO and HBO Max on the TV side. All the film IPs, including Harry Potter & DC. DC Comics. Mortal Kombat, Hogwarts Legacy, DC games, Lego games. The list goes on & on.

Netflix don't have a great track record of physical media, and I'm worried that they'll wind down WB's releases. Might be time to start hoarding.

It's rather grim to think about just how many IPs are going to go down the drain when this merger inevitably gets too bloated to sustain itself and falls over.
