I'd be really appreciative of a quick leg-up to running network video in my house. I have stuctured cabling, a 100Mb switch, a couple of Linux servers and a bunch of PCs. I'm going to be buying a DNLA-equipped TV in the near future.

I'd like to be able to put all my DVDs in the loft, as I have with the audio CDs. I've been thinking about picking up a Synology NAS, as it seems to have all the media-serving software on-board. Plus, the Linux servers don't have the disk space for 150 DVDs.

Can anyone give me some pointers?

I don't know a thing about the network distribution requirements, but if you need any pointers on getting the DVD's onto hard drives, I'm sure I could help out with that one.
