Ever since I bought the game I've never been able to log online with it. Every time I start the game up it tries to connect to the server and then says there was an error connecting to server. It's a real pain in the neck as I am not able to shop for cars online or do seasonal events (what ever those are). Can anyone help me solve this issue?

Other games work fine and I am able to go online with them such as GTA IV
 
I feel your pain. Check out the thread I opened up, I'm having the same prob.
 
Check on your router that UPnP is enabled.

Only use the DMZ option as a last resort, I really wish people wouldn't suggest that option so freely as it isn't the most secure of options to go with.
 
When your PS3 is connected to the internet, and you are on the game, is the time in the top right hand corner of gran turismo world correct? If that time is wrong (When your PS3 is connected to the internet) then you wont be able to connect to the server, that would be the perfect explanation for the problems you are having.
