madden nfl 2004 has to be the BEST football game EVER. ive never really been a fan of football games. i never even been a fan of any sports fans except for that one tournement me and my friends held playing nba live 97. but this is the best sports game ive ever played. i always heard the madden games were good. but this is GREAT. the gameplay is so badass. i mean ive only played it 2 days and i still suck at it. but its so real. plus the owners mode. it doesnt get any better than that. im still figureing it out though. but its great. when i can charge 1 dollar for hot dogs and 20 dollars for a beer and the fans will pay it, thats just too great. and if they dont like it, then i can just pack up and move to a bigger and better market. its so great. i cant wait till i get good enough to beat the cpu everytime then im takin it online. and it even supports dial up. thats great news to cheapies like me. i give this game 5 out of 5 stars. :bowdown:
 
I'm gonna buy this game and play the snot out of it offline and when I finally get hooked up I'll go online.

btw, what team do you play as SS69? Or do you just create your own?
 
i usually have the name Vidiot online. right now im usin the cowboys cause im a dirty texan. but i used fantasy draft and i dont have the same crappy players. im gonna practice a little more though b4 i play online.

Isn't Sega's next ESPN football? I heard it was pretty good. It also has something that Madden doesn't have: a first person view. It should be pretty nuts to go blind except for the field in front of you.
 
segas espn isnt as good as madden. i mean. its close. but i think madden beats it. the fantasy draft isnt that bad. its slow and irritating at times. all u do is find a player you want for a certain position, make him an offer on money and contract, and then he accepts or not. you can also have the cpu make the draft for you if u dont wanna wait. but i suck at this game so bad. i havent played a football game since the first blitz and it was simple.
 
I found that if you get good a running you can do very well. Once you have the running game down work on passes, but only screens and the like, then work in midrange ones, and finally longer ones. Also, don't attempt to make your own plays until you have a good grasp of both passing and rushing. I also suggest going through minicamp very thouroghly. The skills taught there are invaluable.

NCAA Football is sweet! My friend played it for 9 straght hours the day it came out. This is a guy who doesn't play football, or like sports games. I was amazed.
 
ive been playing online for a few days now and i suck. i mean its not like im getting beat badly. cause i could beat every person i play. they just out play me. i have no wins so far. i think i have like 6 losses on my record. ugh...
 
I'm sorry, but I still think football games are way too redundant to perform any use to me, I'm not trying to cause a war with that saying.
 
can anyone get me a good Defence and/or offence play. I keep getting wasted on offence then defence they gain about 20 yards before they punt. and i can only get like 15 yards on offence. help would be nice

Err, there isn't one defensive play or one offensive play that is the perfect play. Every situation calls for a different play.

There is usually one running play that almost always nets you 10 or 15 yards. At least in previous Madden games.

On topic, I'm going to rent Madden 2K4. I'll get back to you if I think it is the greatest football game ever. NFL 2K2 will be tough to beat.

This kind apparently. I pop in there occasionally, but the 'S' replaced by 'Z' thing, and 'da' instead of 'the' - that whole thing makes it kind of hard to make sense of what's being typed.
 
Madden is awsome i got it the other day and it was worth 50 bucks. here is a little trick when u make players and use them in season.
1. put ur starting pos. as kicker
2. Set ur attributes as ur desired pos. not messing w/ kicking power and accuracy.
3. sign him for only thousands of $ instead of Millions. :)
