Was watching "Man, moment, machine: Enzo Ferrari" yesterday, and found out How Ferrari got it's emblem:

A German fighter ace had a prancing horse for his personal emblem on his plane, and when he was shot down, his parents gave Enzo their son's emblem (like the cloth emblems you see hanging from old castles, etc.) for good luck during his first race. When he later started Ferrari SPA, he combined the Prancing Horse with Monza or Maranello's (forgot which one-I think it's Monza) color, which is yellow, and got Ferrari's emblem. Also, Enzo's favorite engine was a V12.

Just some info for all the Ferrari guys :D.

Yeah it's a pretty cool story, at least one with a lot of history. More than Lamborghini's logo just being his zodiac sign, lol.

Geez, I can't believe I've never heard that story before.

Very cool indeed.

y'all didn't know about the fighter ace? He was an Italian, I believe involved with the nobility, or some rich family. Francesco Baracca. I do wonder if his craft is available for FS04...

EDIT: Nope. Flightsim.com has a FS5 version, but...

Yeah, and Wnzo had 2 sons: Dino and Piero Ferrari. Dino died at young age and Piero is a manager at Ferrari today (I think)
