I was on a track I had created testing it out.. It was just a NASCAR like tri-oval for Karts.. When all of a Sudden: BAM.
Stopped dead.. It was like an Invisible force on the track, Like I had just hit a pole at 80mph. Check it out.
Sorry for the quality, I had just used my laptop to record it..

Worst joke ever, is there even a pole at the north pole? I only thought living things could be said to have a ghost.. Why is it at Eifel? I just hope it doesn't end up in Santa's turd generator when it sticks back up in the North Pole.

This is most likely a graphical glitch, I'm saying that it could be a graphical line, so small that it isn't actually visible, but still an object and can still be hit. Quite odd, how did the AI react to it?
 
This has been a bug in the game from the start. It only happens, that i've seen, on user generated tracks.

a similar glitch happened to me when I was messing around on Top Gear Test Track in the summer.

It's kind of funny, but really suprising going head first into a wall that you can't see.
