Hi I'm new to the forum, just trying to work out some details on my wheel and seat setup.

I have a G27 wheel with a playseat evolution and the g27 shifter mount.
Overal I really like te setup so far, I'm still working on getting my speed up while using it.

I remember a friend had a DFGT back with GT5P and when I used that I could really feel the steering input and feedback when I had too much turn-in angle. You could feel it scrub. I have never felt this since then. Does anyone understand what I mean, or have any ideas?

My bigger question is with tactile. I have recently tried racing online in GT5, with great excitement as I was doing quite well when comparing lap times at a few tracks with some online posted stuff. Well I am not sure what happened, but I can not seem to control the car online. I feel like I have no feedback of when the rearend starts to break loose, and by the time I can start to catch it, it's way too late. Understand all aids off and everything.

So if I were to add a simple tactile setup would this be able to transmit this feedback? I have felt a buttkicker setup before while trying the iracing demo at SEMA a couple years ago. It was a really nice addition, wish I had iracing, but no desktop yet to run it on.

I was thinking of something somewhat simple like one Arua bass shaker pro mounted under the seat with a simple amp. Looking this seems to be about a $100 setup, and that seems like a nice addition.

Any thoughts are appreciated

I can't really comment on a buttkicker, tactile system or compare your wheel to the DFGT as I don't own any of that stuff. I can however help with your online issues. For some strange reason, online races use a slightly different physics engine to the single player modes. Why this happens is anybody's guess, but I'd encourage you to keep the physics difference in mind and do any tuning or hot-lapping in your online lounge. That will help you come to grips with the difference and you'll slowly learn how to readjust your driving for the different systems. It worked for me using a G25, so it should work for you and your G27 just fine :)

Hope that helps, 👍

That makes a lot of sense, lol well actually none on the programming side, but a ton as to why I can't keep the car out of the wall.

Even still. I think the tactile might be fun to add, but I wonder how much just a basic setup improves feedback you feel while driving.
