Hi there gt guys & gals :-)
Been a sometime reader of this forum, never felt the need until now to register but the release of gt5 kinda perpetuated it ;-)
I've been a long time fan of the gt series, have been playing since the 1st iteration all those moons (over the castle ;-)) ago. I'm faaar too old to be playing video games (apparently) but as a total petrolhead the combination of current gen computing power and a ps3 being an easy sell to the missus (blu-ray etc) has landed me right back in it.....
I'm posting from a phone atm so aren't inclined to drawl on for too long but here's a few nuggets of info:
Location: London, UK
Rig: DFGT, purchased especially for gt5. Currently clamped to dining table but this imperfect solution is soon to be rectified via the imminent arrival of a wheelstand pro. I seriously considered spending more than the £79 I shelled out on the DFGT but as I've played every gt to date more than successfully with a pad I thought I'd dip my toe in the water before smashing my credit limit :-) Very impressed with the wheel performance so far, yeah I can feel the feedback churning thru gears but it allows so much more precision thru corners and aiming for apexes is now an exercise in enjoyment rather than ultra fine thumb control.
That's about all for now, looking forward becoming part of the community here, must say the "100 posts before thread starting" rule is a major pain in the arse as I have so much I'd like to say about gt5 right now but I can understand the reason for the rule.
Hit me up online if you want some good, clean racing :-)
