If anyone has played tony hawk pro skater in a two player battle, this idea is similar to that.
You take turns on different sectors of the track. The next guy up needs to do better each time. So you get to see what he has just done and then you can show that you can do it better. Then after you are scored better the round continues and he figures out what else he can add to it to make his better. So the battle goes back and forth until someone risks too much with the manji or chokudori and messes up and then the other guy wins. This would be pretty cool in my opinion. Make it like tony hawk where you keep battling that sector until someone loses and then they get a letter for the game of HORSE like in basketball. After one fails to do better you move to the next sector and keep going until you have spelled HORSE.
You get nervous and contemplate if you should take the risk to pull off a chokudori or just get a clean run and let the round continue. This idea wouldn't work for GT3 because people could take many runs until they liked it before submitting their videos. In GT4 you would be asked to do it there and now and battle it out back and forth until the battle was done.
Anyone think this is cool?
