If you don't have money for a new rally car, and are getting to many miles or bordum from the one you have, do not buy an exspensive 300,000 rally car, or waste time on wining one. Simply buy or win the Beetle RSI, give it some suspension, turbos, and dirt racing tires, and here's a homemade, good rally car.

Whats so great about this rally car?-
1.) Great accelaration,
2.) Great turning,
3.) A fresh site for rally drivers,
4.) Cheap price, and it wins the races!

Also the Suzuki Alto Works with Dirst Racing tires, it's cool, but not near as powerful as the RSI.

Gives a nice change to rally racing, and is cool driving against real Rally cars with your friend. Great competition.

I don't think that you would ever "waste time winning" a rally car, since the game falls over itself to give you Mitsubishi Lancers. I've got about 15 of the damn things.
 
LOL. The New Beetle is dominating the stock class rally races so its only natural that the RSI is an awsome rally car. But then again the Lancer or the WRX is way better. My fav rally car is the Lancia Delta Integrale HF. THat thing has a nasty blow off sound, so so loud.
 
My fave for the rallies is the FTO LM version.
Just add dirt tires and you're good to go.
 
i like the Impreza prototype in the game, which in essence, is two years old in real life. for some fun though, I swapped some dirt tires onto my 3000GT and set the VCD as forward as possible--it actually didnt do too bad. hehe.. similar fates with the escudo.. the wall was my friend.
 
Bah, the beetle sucks! Use the Audi TT! That thing kills the competition! Just bring the TCS down to 1 or 0, whichever's the lowest, and BAMB! You out-accelorate everyone!
 
if a TT is out-accelerating anything, including the occupants of the morgue, you are oficially in a race with some CRAPPY CARS. use the Evo VI GSR or the Makinen.
the RSI works well, though - i'll speak to that.

hell yea the evo VI makinen is my fav lancer and that is an awsome rally car.
 
I dont rally, the only rallying I have ever done was to beat the rally league.

I wish PD had not used the space on GT3 for Rallying and used that space to make the rest of the game better.
 
Want an alternative rally car... Max out a Mini Cooper.

I've won quite a few rallys with mine... a little slow on the straights but though those tight bends on Tahiti.... a blast.
