That's clearly not a real photo of a new M3.

But an M3 wagon? Now that's interesting. I know I certainly want one!

Beh... 3 sedan photochopped with M5 rims... and photochopped badly... and the news from a South African source? I'll pass.

Eh that fotos been around for like 2 years now. I remeber cause I brought the magazine with the "headlining news". The mag also had pics of the 6 series and new 5 and they were saying how BMW were gonna unleash a unslaught onto the car market with so many new models.

So yeah old pic.

I agree, the pic is not real, but a little googling verifies all the info is pretty spot on. you'll even get a pick of an M3 sedan on the 'ring, wearing a standard 3 series bumper and rear facia. Pretty stoked about that one, buddy. I've got a new car I can start dreaming about.

I just hope they won't go through with their rumored plan to make 2-door 3 series models "4 series" models...thus, 2-door M3 = M4...what a debacle that would be... :irked:

From what I've heard, the 2 Door 3 Series Coupe and Converible will be a 330Ci as usual.

There looks to be a folding hardtop though which will probably be a 4 Series.

So, there should be an M4.

The 1 Series might not see a M Sedan, because of the old M1 name, so an M2 Coupe seems very likely.

Frankly I would take an M2 CSL edition over pretty much any other new BMW if they'd make it.

Gimme a 330+ Hp I-6 and a good deal less than 3000 lbs of car and call me sold.

It's a migration , the current 5 is easily the dimensions of the previous 7 . This 3 is emulating and standardizing off the 5 . The M1 & M2 are what's interesting u.s.w....

I heard that german manufactures are actually staying away from folding roofs due to added weight and that it was not "cool" enough especially after all the cheap cars that are utilising it at the moment.

Bangle can accomplish the impossible..

he can manage to ruin every single car in a companies linup single handed!!!...
this guy is GOOD...

They should hire him over at Maserati.

Wait.

VW has a Folding Roof Coupe/Convertible, Mercedes has had them for years, and there has been a disguised BMW 3 Series Hardtop Convertible spied driving around.

They know it's heavy, hence the 3 Series Fabric Convertible, and the likely 4 Series moniker for the hardtop one.

Oh, Bangle isn't doing the design, Bangled is an unfortunate moniker that just happens to be easier to say than Hooydonked.

I still prefer them to the last gen cars with the exception of the 7 Series which was just about perfect in 740i Trim.

No..i'm sure somewhere along the line bangle had a hand in it.....

Come on..look at it..

BMW + Ugly = Bangle..
and WTF is a hooydonked? Don't ever say that again, there are children on this forum

Onikaze
Adrian Van Hooydonk.

Look him up.

Correct. Bangle is just the supervisor of the styling department, if I recall correctly. Also, few people realize that Bangle did the E46.

Anyway, I thought the previous-gen BMW's were okay, and I think most of the new ones are downright sharp, but none of them can compare to the E34-and-earlier cars...

And even fewer people realize that Hooydonk was responsible for the 1 series... under Bangle, but Hooydonk's work, nonetheless.

And I think Hooydonk'd is a pretty cool term.
