As some of you may know, the M5 Concept was unveiled at this year's Geneva Motor Show. Along with that, there were reports that there was a GT4 simulator near the concept car where you could test drive the car! :D

Whether or not this car will be in the final GT4 release, I'm not too sure... But still, this is great news!

Here are a few specs for the car

5.0 L V10
~500 bhp (368 kW)
maximum torque of at least 500 Nm
redline at 8500 rpm

0-100km/h - under 5 seconds
0-200km/h - 13 seconds

For those who haven't seen the car, here are some screenshots:

I hope 3 gens of the M5 dynasty will be in GT4 of som juice factor, yey.

I've read a few posts from other bmw forums where they mentioned a GT simulator available for test driving the M5. I'll ask them if they took any pictures of the GT4 demo itself.

Here's a quote from m5board.com (including all the typos):

In anycase of course we got tons of pics and videos of the M5, icl. the underside of the M5 with ahuge differential and a very streamlined underbody like the F355 and F#60. Exhaust system looks alot more advanced than the current E#9 M5s.

Also we have been talking to no less than three BMW M representatives over the course of two days. We have alot of info. SMG III only but this SMG will be a considerable better one than todays. They pioneered the segemn, the pioneered the sequentil gearbox so this will be driving joy in its purest form according to BMW M, just like F!.

It will weight around the same as the 545i and the power delivery will be more gradually increasing, and this engine will be highrevving. THe Grand Turismo simulator next to the M% it redines at 8500 rpms!

And another:

My buddy just came back from the show and has some of the more flattering pictures I have seen of the new M5. It really shows the car's masculine side. He is an AMG owner/fanatic and even he said the car looks a lot better in person than in the previous press shots. The only bad part of the pics is the red glow they had at the booth.

Question from another member:
Well did he get any specifications of the car.

......nothing new except the had a PS2 Gran
Turismo 4 game where you could test drive it.

That would be a great car to see in GT4 as well as all the generations M5's. But can u provide some prooof to back up your quote?

I don't care what people say, Chris Bangle has done a good job with this car. And I hope as I'm sure you all do that it's in GT4.

alrite, I'll try to get better pics from those guys, but for now, heres one from them:

look behind the concept BMW - see those stands with driving wheels and tv screens?

its all good having the new m5, hope they dont forget the legendary cars that made the ///M brand as respectable as it is today. My favourite, the E30 M3.

wouldnt mind this in the BMW used car lot.

Is it just me or did the wait get even harder?

Makes you wonder about other cars and makes previously unavailable due to license issues. Maybe Sony or PD have bitten the bullet and handed over a huge pile of cash to have them in. Whatever is the case, I can't wait!

Too bad the M6 will own this car ;) still cool however, but i dont like the rpms or torque for a heavy car.

I expect threads like this to pop up more and more frequently until The Redemption Day

What's the chance they'll all be in capitals, with numbers instead of letters, etc ?

T5-R, it is the E30 M3, even the E36/E46 CSL doesnt come close to matching the raw thrill you get out of driving the E30, havent actually driven a CSL but the E46 Cabrio is brilliant but just doesnt seem as much fun as the E30 through the twisties.

That video shows that the E60 M5 is a definate possibility in GT4, but it could just be that BMW asked PD to do a little M5 simulator just for the motor show and as its non-profitable and not sold to the general public the Licencing stuff doesnt come in to it, so the M5 may well not end up in the actual game. But hopefully the ///M series will get a slot in GT4.

WHY the @!$^@ hell would you make a comment like that. If PD spent the countless hours putting a car into a simulator why would they then decide to leave out of the game....jesus THink!
man I cant believe some people. your so bent on trying to prove that the car will not be in the game. just like that porSche thread.

its happened before

they already have a license with BMW. I understand with other rarer makes, or one-offs. but this is a mainstream vehicle. maybe not the price or this model but BMW is already in the game.

Yo NavyAD, chill out! He's not trying to prove that it won't be in the game, just raising a very good possibility since M series has yet to be seen in a GT game. Read his post again. I was thinking the very same thing he was and don't see this as a confirmation that it will be in the game. Why would they put a 3 series in GT3 and not an M3? Didn't own the rights to the M cars, just BMW.
I'm sure it's not too big of a deal for PD to model one car for BMW, keeps them on their good list anyway.

But like Yazza said, hopefully the M's will be in!
