I've been grinding La Festa Cavallino for cash (as many of you have) and I've been looking for ways to keep it interesting.

Give this a try. It's easy enough to beat the Enzo of course. But try to keep the Enzo from coming second behind you. It's not as easy as it sounds. And if there are 2 of them it's downright hard.

Lol I've already been doing this, usually at the 2nd gear corner at the end of the big straight (hunaudieres, I think). Have never taken 2 out tho

👎

Why would you want to do that?

I usually downgrade my car to make it a good challenge. I currently Run a stock Enzo on Racing Hards. Fully run in and after oil change it puts out 692 hp.
It's good fun trying to overtake cleanly while staying on track 👍
Just an idea

What i do:
I don't overtake any car until the beginning of the Mulsanne Straight.

i'm trying to get under 03:30 mins. In the Enzo

My best time for the Sarthe event is 3:16.377 in a fully tuned Enzo, and with cutting all the chicanes :)

Try maxing out everything, then use Sport Hard tires. Still can't place first with that combo.

What do you mean grinding for cash? Is this one repeatable----can you do it over and over and over getting credits each time?

Thanks!

Yeah about 20mil so far. Others have done way more than that. :D

Chap 2J sitting in my UCD now :D Thanks Enzo!
watch PD have it in the new OCD tomorrow/next at only 10 million. Grumble..

how I got the Chap 2J to show up, recreating my steps:
I golded the AMG driving special , full loop on expert(rain) TCS 3, ABS 3, Brake Bias 4/6, then golded each section event on Advanced. (5 golds in a row!) hehe, and UCD shows a 2J. Didn't buy it yet, but it's there, I should nab it eh?

Yep, because it's sort of rare and doesnt show up in the ucd very often, (well not in mine) :/. But i was lucky enough to get the 2J from a gift car ticket :) (my best ever gift car ticket btw)

Yes. Even if you think it's as ugly as sin, and hated it with a passion during the Historic Cup, buy it. Even if it will only ever be used when your Grandma needs it to beat said championship in B-spec (since her Bobs just can't drive the *real* cars, sonny), it is surprisingly annoying to have it show up when you can't afford it, and never when you can.

Next time, the Bank of Bob will save me. (Must... resist... Mark IV.... nose back to grindstone...)

Um, on topic, would this variant be easier in a 599?

Also, is the actual event beatable cleanly with anything at stock on sport softs other than an Enzo? 458, maybe?

The 599 is my favorite whip for this event. That and the F40. :dunce:

I haven't tried Sarthe in the stock 599, but I did Indy in a stock 599 (sport hard). It was a close one. I got the Enzo at the line banging doors. 0.077 seconds. My closest seasonal win ever.

I did Sarthe in a tuned F40 on Sport Softs. That one was close also, but won by a second. I just don't know if the stock 599 would have the beans to run down the Enzo at Sarthe with only 1 lap to do it.

Cool. Indy was definitely fun on sport tires with multiple cars (not sure I could manage it with a 599 on Hards, yet). My stock-ferrari trouble spots seem to be Sarthe and Autumn Ring Reverse (because I'm especially lousy at the tracks, and Sarthe additionally because of the bean count issue you alluded to). I figure grinding with progressively worse tires/tunes/cars will fix that; a little demolition my help my bore^H^H^H^Hcar control.

For some odd reason I now have 2 Enzos, 3 458s, 2 Scuds, 2 (soon to be 3) 599s, a fully tuned SP1... and will probably add a second of all the others except the 430 ;-) The fully tuned California really surprised me; it and the tuned SP1 have ridiculously predictable handling.

I've been grinding the bah-jesus out of Sarthe. This is my third night in a row doing it. I don't care at all at this point about the challenge of it, I'm cutting every corner I can to get through the lap as fast as possible and start it again. I've bought everything in the OCD just b/c they're half price and am hitting the UCD every 4 races to see what's new in there, all while trying to stay reasonably topped out with cash.

Buy the italia and fully mod it cut each of the 2 chicanes. I did this 23 times with 23 victories and have stupid cash. Goodluck

Cut two chicanes? How about 4? And do the race in under 3:10.

How about, get the slowest car to win.

the california surprised me, drives great, 7 gears and has heaps of grip

What shows up in the UCD has nothing to do with those "steps". Nine new cars are just generated randomly after each "race", with some cars more rare than others. The 2J is one of the rarest.

Since owning the game from launch day, it has only shown up in my UCD twice....the second time was last week, and I FINALLY bought it. It was annoying, because I always had to keep 14,000,000 on hand in case it showed up. I literally waited months, and I constantly refreshed the UCD with the fasted method. Some days I didn't even race, just refreshed the UCD for an hour or so.

So yes, if you have the cash, definitely buy it. It's an amazing car, and also one of, if not THE, rarest cars in the game. You might not see it again for many months.
