New content due in summer

So, will rockstar charge us ? (probably but its always worth it). will we finally get the jetpack ? I really hope they make the content nearly as big as the actual game. I think there are so many more stories to be told in LS and they need to make the most of the stunning world they made as we wont be getting any more gta console releases for at least a couple of years. Not looking great for pc owners though, seems like rockstar are doing this dlc and working on another game entirely.
 
Having taken this long, I'm hoping it's got a new location and therefore it'll be premium DLC. Las Venturas would be nice.
 
I wouldn't mind a San Fierro expansion to be honest. Driving down Lombard Street in San Andreas was some good stuff. Flying down the streets of San Fierro was fun as well.
 
I don't know why they didn't include San Fierro in the first place.
 
Just wondering, maybe they will open up North Yankton? I'm new to the GTA V playing, and just did the mission out there, seems like the easiest spot to open next.

I believe it was because they wanted the new version of Los Santos to stand on its own.

The game could probably do with another city, though. The towns outside Los Santos are all very small, and pretty much everything along the eastern side of the island is wasted - there are wide expanses of emptiness.

But a second city would need new story content.
 
They have confirmed that it is story dlc and will be a continuation of trevor, Michael and franklins lives since the big heist, but who knows, we could yet get san fierro, it would not have fit on the game disc as we know they struggled to fit it onto 1 disc for ps3 and 2 discs on 360. I reckon we will just have more missions for them to do and no new enviroment
 
There comes a point where they will have to introduce new environments. San Andreas has pretty much been covered with a fine-toothed comb, so new content would only really cover ground that has been swept clean.

If you played TDU2, you would know that more locations for GTA V is definitely possible. The island in TDU2 is 600km^2, while the map in GTA V is 50km^2.

But there's less things going on in TDU than GTA.

I guess a better example is Just Cause 2, but the engine it uses loads random land environments (e.g. Desert with slightly different looks). So there is less strain on the CPU/RAM/GPU.
 
I wonder if the new content could deal with the Infinity Killer. It's a pretty elaborate and entirely missable sub-plot. Way too much work went into it for it to be a passing sideshow.

R* said that the heists are coming This Spring. Also, the common theme for new updates has always been the second week or second Tuesday of the month. That pretty much narrows it down to June 10th.

Springs been and gone mate, we are well into Summer now lol :P

hope your right, but something tells me it won't be out till July, High life has only just come out, it's too soon for Heists update to launch

Hate to nitpick but, official first day of summer in the UK is June 21st.

Whatever they release will probably be very good, as long as they add and stop taking away.

A third property would be appreciated and some 10 car garages in the North with interiors to reflect their location. Clinical white doesn't look right inside a run down garage round Sandy Shores way.

North Yankton is nowhere near playable condition. A lot of the scenery and roads aren't solid.

Plus, almost every building that is not on the same road or in an accessible area (Go beyond this line, you fail the mission) used in Prologue or Bury The Hatchet is a flat texture.
 
well, I got that a bit wrong didn't I ? really was not expecting that announcement that it will be out on next gen. when I found it I thought about it a bit, it annoyed me.even though I gta5 on ps3, i then went and got a ps4. now I have a long wait ahead.looks like it will be worth it, if they can make a world look that good on a ps3, imagine how good it look on ps4 !
 
Personally, I don't think it's going to be worth upgrading to. Wow a bit more traffic and better draw distances.... I'm pretty happy with what I have now.... Yeah the traffic can randomly vanish all together from time to time, but I bet the PS4 will suffer that issue too...

We will still get heists etc too, so I don't think theres any reason to worry about forking out on a PS4 just yet.... I shall wait another 1-2 years I think.....
