New CSR wheel issues?

So I have had my csr for less than 1 week.
I had it go dead for like 2 seconds then come right back. This happened twice so far.
It seemed to happen under braking. Wheel went lose and no pedal response.
Then just came back.
Also I could have sworn there was engine vibration the first time I used it. But only once and I can not get it back. Is that supported by gt5?
The abs vibration works fine. Other than these two things I am very happy but the glitches are not what you would expect from a higher end product.
My old driving force was used very heavily by my friend hen passed to me and always worked flawlessly for like 5 years.
By the way the wheel is only used on GT5 .
Any one else experience this? Or have any answers?
Oh and it will not hold calibration for center. After some laps the wheel will be off a little.

That happens if dongle does not work correctly. Try USB cable.
 
I had that happen with my PWTS in GT5 as well. I had a USB headset plugged in while using the wheel. The issue went away for me when I plugged my wheel into USB port 1 and didn't have any other USB devices connected.
 
I just got my CSR Elite a few days ago and had the same problem with engine vibration only working fist time I used it. Also I thought the latest firmware would be installed but when I checked, it is currently 7.07...having difficulty updating firmware also.

do the firmware updates affect ps3 use? I was thinking it was for pc use .

I have a hunch firmware should cure the lack of engine vibration because the same motors work for the abs vibration.

Edit: Problem solved, I guess both functions (ABS and engine vibration) cannot work at the same time. You choose one or the other to operate. I checked this by downloading the 115 driver from the Fanatec support site. I was having a problem with no FFB while wheel is centered but I fixed that too. You can go to:www.911wheel.de/?q=blogs/thomas and download the latest firmware 721, theirs also a new 116 driver to download there but isn't necessary to update FW if you have 115 on your PC. It's a shame one has to sleuth the internet forums to find these tools and answers to what may be easy fixes for some issues with Fanatec wheels, they're support dept. really needs completely revamped due to the demand for these new complex wheels.
