hey gang....heres my first custom...HAPPY DAYS 57' CAMEO TRUCK!!! it looked horrible being so high off the ground so i had to drop it, give it a better wheel stance and camber, i also took off all the chrome around the bed, shaved the door handles abd a couple other parts off..

any comments or suggestion???

Great job...the paint job is especially nice...smooth and shiny. Congratulations! My only criticism is that the wheels look a little crappy...but that's not your fault. Who manufactured the kit, by the way?

awesome job...but one thing remains...

chop top that bish.

its originaly an ERTL 1:18 HAPPY DAYS 57 CAMEO PICKUP....and i cannot chop it ( how da hell would i replace the windows????)

any suggestions ...??? paint? decals??

Assuming it's a die-cast then (not a real model :sly:) I think it'd be very hard to chop top it considering it's made out of metal rather than more flexible plastic.

But anyways M@goo, I do like it.

Good job! Older trucks always look good down low!

Couple front camber issues, but hey, that just means you get to tweak it even more!

Here's a pic of a Silverado that a friend of mine did, the wheels came off one of the DUB die cast cars. The truck is a plastic kit, however.

Keep up the good results, I found out quickly the only limit is your $ (after I bought 4 kits, and ended up with only one badass Supra, see other thread) and imagination.

depends on the suspension a viper i did was as simple as cuting a couple braces
my freinds chevy stepside had leaf springs that youre suppost to glue the axle to so what i did was i glued the spring to the frame then heated the spring and it alloud me to bend it si the axle would be closer to the frame and with DUB cars you can just stretch the axle holes, and what i do alot is i cut those tubes that atach the body to the frame on die cast cars by doing that you can body drop it so it sits lower on the frame espeicaly handy when theres thing on the frame that will hit the ground when you lower the car

How do you lower it?

I was the one who did the black and white truck FutureGTRDriver put up. thats not a Dub model. it was a "custom" pickup and waverunner plastic model i bought and opened up to find out someone stole the wheels. so i improvised. i drilled a hole in the motor for the front Dub axel and removed teh inner fenders. for teh rear, i had a piece of roll bar outta nascar model that worked perfect to hold the rear dub axle . glued it to the bottom of the bed, cut out the rear fenders, adn put a bed cover on it. Then i put the shortened rear axle over it to make it look better.

I wish I had the time and money to do this kind of stuff! 👍

Anyone know where I could find a 1998+ S-10 lowrider?
