New European Championship

I'm considering hosting a Championship for midweek on Tuesdays at 9 GMT. This time would suit most people in Ireland, UK and Europe. Currently checking to see interest in a touring car championship.

I was thinking we'd start with a Touring Car type Race on Monza. .

It'll be a one car race for the first one anyway. I might widen the field to two or three in the following rounds.

The first one could be today at 9pm depending if we get enough people.
Qualifying would be for half hour before hand.

Length: Two races of 5 laps (Reveerse grid in second race).
Car: VW Golf Gti
Circuit: Monza

I guess qualification starts at 8.30 pm then?

I'll have to buy it tonight, but try to make it on time. No restrictions on tuning?

Sounds really interesting. Just a few things need to get sort out.

Rules? Driving aids? Skid Recovery Force? Penaltys? Damage? (Exept the standard GTP rules and regulations)
How many laps? EDIT: I did not read carefully enough. 2 races á 5 laps it is :)
Can cars be tuned or do they have to stay stock? Oilchange ok?
Tyres?
I think we should have 1 mandatory pitstop.
How's the start handled? I have an idea, when in freerun your time is logged and you see if you have the thirs best time or whatever in the standings on your right. However, the grid will not automaticly sort the cars in that order. So my suggestion is that if the race is 25 laps, set the race to 26 laps and do one formationlap. If the room is not full, we could use a pacecar, and if the room is full just use the driver with the fastest time (pole position car)as a pacecar. When the pacecar turns in to the pits, the field have to make it's way towards the start/finishline (If the pace car is the pole car, the pole car just keeps the pace until he reaches the startline). When the polecar reach the start line he flores it! No one is allowed to pass anyone before that startline is crossed. Meening that the 10th car can't step on it before the 9th car since he is not allowed to pass anyone before the startline is crossed.

If you exit the freerun-mode back to the lounge, your time is erased. So what you need to do when you are satisfied with your freerun time you have to stay in the freerun room to make sure your time is still there. If you exit and your time is erased you have to start where your new time says.. All according to what the list on your right says just before the race starts. Remember the name on the driver in front and behind you. And make sure you find your spot during the formationlap. The start will be a rolling start for obvious reasons.

A couple of friends have said they'd join so I currently do not need additional racers. Sorry lads. I will keep you posted. If you're interested maybe we could do a seperate championnship on mondays.

To be honest I want to keep it as simple as possible. A formation lap could lead to all sorts of problems.

I'm afraid not, unless we have people who can't make it.

I'll add all of you on PSN anyway. Maybe we can organise another one on another night, as there seems to be a bit of interest.
