And if you wanna talk about places to just "chat" talk about How Many Replies thread, that place has wasted bandwidth, such as the thousands of threads of pictures no body views anymore.
And is there any real answer to my question, besides bandwidth waste.
Sorry I missed your question earlier, Deathhawk... GTPlanet.net and Forums.GTPlanet.net actually consume around 3-4 GB of bandwidth per day.Originally posted by Deathhawk
Jordan HAS on multiple occasions asked to keep bandwidth low. I want to see some figures (Jordan?) but I suspect this site runs conservitively quarter-half a gig every couple days.. That is extremely high (probably shooting WAAAAY high)

No, thank goodness, no!Originally posted by Deathhawk
What is your allotment? Most BussinessDSL's limit you to what? 10-20GB/month? So you pay say, 20 extra a month on around 200, so about 220-300 a month?
Fortunately, since the image is usually hosted on another server (other than GTPlanet) when it is inserted directly into a message (rather than attachments, which aren't displayed in quotes), so it doesn't affect GTPlanet at all. And, usually you have already downloaded an image in a previous post so it is already cached on your hard drive.Originally posted by jag_man_v12
also if you guys care about the amount of space used on fourms when you do a Quote delete the JPG from the quote se we dont have to put up with pictures being duplcated surly this would save a lot of space

Yes, this happens a lot, and is very annoying. Just click "View", then "Source", and look for the actual address of the image. Then enter that URL in your browser, and you have your picture, free of right-click blocking.Originally posted by Talentless
I think some people take pictures which may not be theirs and try to claim they are and block right-clicking. Which may be the case with a page about the R390.
