bandwidth wasting, ever heard of that, troy?
Yes, but we dont have that problem. I'm sure if the problem got out of hand jordan would ask us not to post as many pictures. Or not alow uploading.

And if you wanna talk about places to just "chat" talk about How Many Replies thread, that place has wasted bandwidth, such as the thousands of threads of pictures no body views anymore.

And is there any real answer to my question, besides bandwidth waste.

Jordan HAS on multiple occasions asked to keep bandwidth low. I want to see some figures (Jordan?) but I suspect this site runs conservitively quarter-half a gig every couple days.. That is extremely high (probably shooting WAAAAY high)

Sorry I missed your question earlier, Deathhawk... GTPlanet.net and Forums.GTPlanet.net actually consume around 3-4 GB of bandwidth per day.

What is your allotment? Most BussinessDSL's limit you to what? 10-20GB/month? So you pay say, 20 extra a month on around 200, so about 220-300 a month?

No, thank goodness, no! :D I have a server at RackShack.net, where they offer the most bandwidth (400 GB/per month) at the cheapest prices I've seen (and trust me, I've seen a lot of web hosts!). If you're interested, you can visit RackShack's network graphs to see just how much data they're sending out of their datacenter.

Why do you guys have nothing better to do then worry about some club? And what do you expect to happen? Are we all one mind now? I am a conservative, are all of the liberal members here pro gun and anti-collectivist to the extent I might be now?

Do we all like the Trans Am now?

Many of you aren't even here because of GT. What do you think GT stands for? There are also several forums. It's not as if there are several Ferrari clubs in the GT2 forum.

Do you think club members are going to go and pool resources together to shut down GTP?

The Rumble Strip
General off-topic forum for casual discussions, etc. No brawling or socially unacceptable behavior! :)

And a club, the idea of having one, violates that how?

I personally dont have problem with clubs to me its just another forum you go there if you want to to discuss what a car model that you like

what I hate more is people coming into a thread and posting something that has no connecting with the thread

dont take this personally but eg: say a viper posted in say a mazda club or ford club just because you like them this is spaming and this iritatres me more

also if you guys care about the amount of space used on fourms when you do a Quote delete the JPG from the quote se we dont have to put up with pictures being duplcated surly this would save a lot of space

Fortunately, since the image is usually hosted on another server (other than GTPlanet) when it is inserted directly into a message (rather than attachments, which aren't displayed in quotes), so it doesn't affect GTPlanet at all. And, usually you have already downloaded an image in a previous post so it is already cached on your hard drive. :)

that may be so but as an indvidual we could just delete out the part in the quote that has the JPG as a courtsey to others

yes, lots of people/webmasters don't like there pictures that are hosted at their site posted on other sites....usually.

I think some people take pictures which may not be theirs and try to claim they are and block right-clicking. Which may be the case with a page about the R390.

Yes, this happens a lot, and is very annoying. Just click "View", then "Source", and look for the actual address of the image. Then enter that URL in your browser, and you have your picture, free of right-click blocking.
