Firstly apologies guys as i know there are probably numerous threads on this topic. I have read a few but couldnt get the answer i wanted.

On GT5 how do i map both the clutch and manual gear shift and also the little red buttons on the G27 to in game features?

Also second question i played around with it last night and my trophy times with the G27 are coming in slower than my Dualshock times! what are the best settings to begin getting used to the G27 in GT5.

Appreciate your help and thanks in advance. :scared:

Go to your Utilities Tab and pick a wheel. The G27 is not one of the supported wheels but probably if you pick the DFP you might be able to map some of the buttons.

Map the clutch and H-shifter? I don't think thats possible they will just work off the bat.
Paddle-shifters are mappable though.

The red buttons are I believe L2 and R2 but they cant be mapped individually.

EDIT: Also yes you will be slower at first, don't worry about it. Just carrying on playing and it will come. I was disheartened when I first got it, but it just takes time.

Its been a few weeks since I used it but I think I mapped it using the Driving Force Pro settings on the options screen since the G27 isnt fully supported yet. And the wheel takes some time getting used to. I was slower at first as well but you'll get quicker over time, it takes awhile to get used to it.

you don´t really think there is gonna be 100% support for it, since they launched the t500rs as official wheel, do you? ;)

i got a g27 too, and would be very glad to have it fully implented, but i think it´s not gonna happen. :(

Kaz promised that it would be supported at some point.

But that is Kaz and he did promise leaderboards and a ton of other stuff too :P

But I'm pretty sure the licensing agreement between Logitech and PD means it will be supported eventually, its just a matter of time, but honestly I wouldnt be suprised if it was in the next update.

And the T500 RS wheel isnt that great either, it's what I replaced my G27 with. It's better, but its not $300 better.

I use a G27. The six little red buttons cannot be mapped (sigh). The upper left is for rear view and the upper right is for beams.
As far as I know there is no chance to map anything.

If you are new to a wheel I think it's quite normal to have slower times at the very beginning; it will take you some days to get good results.
I am not a Pro, anyway I use FF 6 and Simulation as wheel general settings.

I love this wheel, I bought it for GT5 and it works fine for the important part, unfortunately PD did not support the buttons mapping (it's a commercial strategy, the new official wheel is not a logitech one)

I hope you don't have this, but when I race rally events the force feedback engines literally knock the wheel, I don't know how to explain.. in some way it seems it is going to break everything.
As a consequence I remove the power plug in rally events :(

At the end, by the way, I think you will not regret your choice

With the DFGT I simply turn off the vibration when I have a rally race, but I don't know if you can do the same with a G27 since it doesn't have th ePS button to open the controller settings menu...
